Various M performances (plus the PV) have had similar outfits...

She's had various outfits with the short-ish shirts, and then the long sleeves (mostly Asian-style tops):

There's so many more ("I am..." from AT02 and CDL09-10, dress from ballads section of CDL09-10 and a-nation '05, dress from ballads section of CDL08-09 and AT09, etc etc etc.). Even many of her performances are recycled, which is a pretty common thing. (I've seen it happen so many times in the music industry, anyway.)

I'm just saying, I know I won't be surprised if I see more recycling in Ayu's career. It tends to continue to shock people, which is both surprising and not so surprising.
Interesting. Yeah I don't see the big deal about recycling. I mean it's not like it's the SAME exact outfit each and every time. It's similar, maybe even tailored differently. It may also be because we're hardcore fans who follow her every move, we notice these things much easier.

Yeah, most tv performances are only paid with what is around a few hundred dollars, not enough to make a entirely new costume, pay dancer, special effects and props...can't have all of it usually, that's only done if they think the performance will be a big factor in the singles/albums sales

That's really grand! That's more than I've seen from any Ayu or Johnny's or, well, most other concerts lol

I forgot that was a more common practice in Japan lol

A lot of people reuse outfits though... Espeacially for lives that are hosted by shows like music station and what not. I've seen Namie Amuro and I think koda kumi does it too. I feel like the whole reusing the outfit thing has to do with keeping the "image" of the song. Hopefully I'm making sense!

@zyoeru - yeah, that monochrome performance was really nice~ No we need something more extreme this time, but when you think about it there aren't that many things she hasn't done. She could ride an elephant I guess, but that would prolly scare the poor animal, so I don't think she should do that~

I like the theme! Although I must admit that after Britney, P!NK, and Kumi all having "similar" themes in recent times kind of takes away the impact. But I still am excited none the less and I do think Ayu will do fantastic job going in this direction. Very cool. Cannot wait for the album - even though all this talk brings up MY STORY a lot, I will try not to get my hopes too high because I always think "maybe this time it will be better than MY STORY" or "maybe this time the amount of tracks will be like MY STORY" and I'm always left like this:

Eh, I don't like it. But I guess the title is relatively unimportant.

On topic, seriously though, it seems that everybody is forgetting the Rock'n'Roll part about this. I think that takes the whole thing to another level, I'm sure it won't be just "regular circus" lol but like someone said before, more like a rock n roll extravaganza. It's way too early to say she copied Brit or someone when all we know about the tour is the freaking title.

Not when it's the theme for a tour as long as this one. Hell, I'm sure it points toward some clues about the new album as well.

I really do think that this was a perfect direction for Ayu to take (with her voice deterioration and all). I fell in love with Ayu through Depend On You, bought LOVEppears, but that was the Christmas before Moments was released, so most of the lives I have watched have been from CDL 2003-2004 onward. That's why her "deep" singing has always seemed like Ayu to me. Watching parts of the old lives (which I have yet to view) really does seem shocking how she is even the same singer. This is gonna be wicked though!

Way too overused. Just like the backup singers...

Anyway, the title is uninspiring. It's nothing I haven't heard before, and I'm kind of not looking forward to it. I really hope the album title is unrelated to this. At least the snippet of Microphone is redeeming.
