@walking.proud: yeah, been saying to do one for a month now, and now I've made it. It seems like we made it at the same time though ^^

not that it matters...

but i think for the people that DO live in Japan, a lot of opportunities will be taken away from them by accident or on purpose.

such as PV filming or live show filming. because all you have to do is fill in the info and your entered to be in the draw for either one, but if you're selected and can't go because you're not in Japan, that's one less person in Japan that CAN go.

same with tickets to concerts. Not everyone in TA gets concert tickets, and if they're given to someone who doesn't live in Japan and has no intention of buying a plane ticket and going, it's less people in Japan who are able and willing to go.

granted i don't think everyone will do this, but i definitely think it'll happen :-\

^ I don't think joining TA is bad, Avex and Ayu profit from it.
People in Japan all have access to Concerts they can watch concerts when they want it not like overseas fan who need to do A LOT of planning just to see her in Concert.
People in Japan doesn't have to pay a middleman just to join TA. Heck they don't even have to pay sorta expensive shipping fee just to buy her CDs.

People in Japan have all the advantage.
I don't think joining because you want to be a member of TA and get updates you can't even fully understand without a translator is bad.

Because to me you seems like you're trying to tell us that nothing good can come from joining TA overseas and that it's a crime.

I said nothing like that...

i said people that join TA and then enter themselves into drawings (such as tv filming, PV shootings, concert tickets, etc.), willingly taking away privileges from members residing in Japan is bad. Unless of course they can actually go to the event.

however, my roommate just informed that if you do enter for tickets, pv filming, etc. and then DON'T go, you never have the chance of going again.

You're apparently put on the "spam" list and can't win again

so now i feel better

join away

Well it's pretty obvious that if someone can't in to something they won't do the application! What's the purpose? Japanese could also do that, ask for something even if they know they can't go. The fact of living in japan doesn't mean that they can go. What if some member here goes to japan for holidays and can attend something?

You know, i'm, and we all are, aware that we won't have most of the avantages you have, and even though i'm paying the same as you do.

I see very rude and unfair to come here and say that to give the chance to international fans to be ta members is not correct, when it has been a dream come true for all of us to join even if not being able to get some things.

I think it's pretty obvious that no one is going to ask for appearing in a pv if they can't. I also think it's unfair that so many japanese people buy ayu tickets only to sell them with a higher price, and that also takes out possibilities to real fans to attend.

And seriously, how many of us will be there in ta now? 100 at the end? Out of 70.000 members...

Really, that comment was unnecessary.

But hey guys, yeah don't take out japanese fans chances of anything, or they may kill us. We shouldn't buy any of RnRC cd-dvd, because people in japan will have less chances to get a handwritten lyrics sheet!

i didn't say anything like that!!

I said people WHO enter on purpose or accidently BECAUSE they don't understand the circumstances is unfair.

i could care less if international fans joined, i mean, i would have been thrilled had i still been living in the states.

and no, Japanese people won't do that because if they do they can't be entered for tickets again.

so whatever, my comment wasn't rude at all.

and i said nothing about buying things from team ayu shop or whatever, that's something that you can actually receive.

but anyway, im not bothered anymore.
now that i know that people who don't attend are penalized.

and anyway, i think what you went through to make this thread is great :-\

i wasn't saying you were in the wrong for showing other die hard fans how to become TA members :-\

if that's how you read my comment i'm sorry, i didn't mean anything like that

and i think you should put the warning at the beginning which i posted...
if you enter yourself in a drawing, get selected, and then don't show up, you will be penalized by not having the chance to ever win again. Just so people don't make any mistakes. I wouldn't want everyone to thus be banned from winning things from one mistake, especially if people end up living in Japan or something.

I'm not putting anything on your mouth. The last comment about the cd was sarcastic.

And if you are sure japanese would never do that, why we would? I can't see the logic, sorry.

And still I find your comment out of place. It sounds as if we should feel bad for joining ta.

Edit: LOL your edition of comment makes of crazy. Well, anyway, even if that wasn't your intention I still don't like how you first said it and don't understand why we would take out chances to other fans and they wouldn't.

a lot of the people can't understand japanese, and yes, granted online translators can be used, mistakes still happen.

Japanese people can read the rules and small details...
and yes i understand other people understand japanese as well, i'm just saying.

and i shouldn't have said they "don't" do that, but I mean I doubt a lot of people will jeopardize themselves on purpose.

and, well if that how you think it sounds i'm sorry.
i'm saying right now that i didn't mean to say anything along the lines that people should "feel bad" about joining. so for that misunderstanding, i apologize.

but anyway, i'm dropping it.
i think i've already made myself clear.

Yay for living in Japan and since most of us here doesn't live in Japan we should forget about Ayu because we're stupid and we'll take the chances from Japanese fans because they are superior~

hmm....walking proud, from his posts, i understand what he means, i think you missunderstand it.

he's concern is when people enter those lucky draw things, but being unable to go, is not fair to other members who can go.

Being an un-native japanese speaker, they might not know what exactly is the campaign or the email that TA send them is for. Most of the online translator are unreliable, and being unable to understand/read japanese might cause missunderstanding.
Some members might just enter it, thinking it's to get some special gifts from TA.

Or they thought they could enter the concert lottery draw, and if they get a good seat, they can sell for a good price. yes...not knowing that they have to pick up the tickets by themselves, like you a lot assume that tickets can be mail out.

2 years ago, i know a friend who do that, thinking that being in TA means he will get a good seat(coz he doesn't really understand japanese). But he found out that he have to pick up the ticket by himself in japan and the seats are not confirm, so he end up wasting his chance.

well, he got a nice scolding from me for a month.

^well maybe I sounded too rude, I apologize, but I didn't like how he said it at first:

"but i think for the people that DO live in Japan, a lot of opportunities will be taken away from them by accident or on purpose"

Even if it wasn't his intention it sounds like: oh, now it will be your fault if a fan in Japan doesn't get tickets/whatever...

I will write it on the first post, because it's a good thing to know, but I just felt that his post was like party pooper when here everyone is so happy becuase they dream of being part of TA has come true. only that.

I think I'm gonna do a little guide for TA on the first post.. hmmm ^^ (this thing we discussed now, sending messages to ayu, the emails....)

and, not because is my thread, but I think it woudl be useful if it's sticky ^^

and sorry so muuch for this post of discussion here -__________-

^nah, you just sound angry, which i understand why.

relax girl, he did not mean you. He was pointing at those people who apply without knowing what is it/or not sure of the procedure....these can be cause by langugue barrier.

yup, i think it's best to put some explanation on the first post

Man, the silly Japanese VS Foreigner squabble never ends, does it...

Japanese TA members being afraid of foreigners taking away chances for concert tickets and TV lives is not unfounded. I mean, as tokyoxjapanxfan said, there's always the chance of someone seeing one of these TV show ticket lotteries and going "Hey TA just sent me an e-mail I don't know what it is but maybe I'll win something if I fill in this form" and that's it.

But yeah, if in doubt, anyone can just come here and ask. This thread is here, right, and there are so many of us around who knows Japanese. So whenever in doubt, just ask. Doesn't hurt anybody, and we won't need to squabble like children.

Yeah, I understand how foreigners not being able to join TA is a very very sensitive issue. Blows up into crazy sarcastic TA-bashing arguments whenever anyone so much as talks about it. But at the end of the day, ayu is a Japanese, she lives and works in Japan, Japan is her main market as far as avex is concerned, and there's nothing we can do about it. It's a blessing that we can join TA now, so let's just leave it at that, ok? ayu would be sad if she knew how mean her fans are to each other...

I would be happy, if we could stop the fighting. I mean, we are all in TA for Ayu or at least we all sign up for TA because of Ayu.
We should all stand together!

And I would never dare to take any of the tickets, when I'm sure, that I can not go to the concert.
But if I'm in TA, if I'm in Japan at a time when Ayu gives a concert, then I have every right to go and take a chance...even, when I'm an international fan, right?!

I have question again...... Before ayu started her diary there was the TA Message thing, so can the old posts from the message days be found on TA site? Cos all I see is ayu's diary and the old today's photos ... or I'm just not seeing them????
