I actually am dreading on how the covers & PV for Monster is going to be like now haha

but anyway I'm thankful that they're back to what they does best (to me) after I was SO disappointed & BORED with Troublemaker

I want more songs in this vein you hear me ARASHI !

my younger sister's going to get the single when it's out in Taiwan , I'm not cos I'm broke ~~spent too much on BREAKERZ xD~~

cos for the radio rip preview , it stopped at there & I have to say that I haven't overplayed a preview song of ARASHI's for quite a while now , when the radio rip preview for Monster was out I mean

the song's good , at least for now my faith in them has been restored back musically

....idek....the part where it goes into the creepy merry-go-round section. the only term i know concerning a song is like....chorus. LOL.

the problem w/ Arashi for me right now is that they release something i really like and then they release the most generic single right after (or maybe both at the same time if it's a double A-side. for example, Ashita no Kioku *snore* w/ Crazy Moon *AWESOME*). they're not consistent with their A-sides, imo.

but they sell whatever they put out, so....

I think it's like for them currently it's something like that

experimental out of the box great songs like Crazy Moon & then now Monster - to satisfy picky people like me xD & also the fans who had been with them from day 1 til now

also it's no open secret that I prefer their older works that're much more hip pop & rock driven

boring uninspired snoozefest pop songs like Troublemaker , Sora Takaku (ZZZZ at max) - to satifisy the gazillion million aunties & uncles that support them like nuts

I know that they attract a great deal of obachan's especially in their 'live' concerts & they have more spending power than poor students like me

it's just an analogy but I could be wrong haha

It seems I'm completely out of line with most of the "real" Arashi fans, XD. I Loved Troublemaker, Everything, Crazy Moon, Believe and Step and Go, but I don't really care much for Truth. I'm not feeling Monster either ... oh well.

I'm not a pop person to begin with (rock all the way yeah !) . That's why I prefer their edgy stuff a lot more than subpar pop songs like Everything , season , Troublemaker

if I want to listen to pop , I rather listen to Hey ! Say ! JUMP as it's more towards their style

truth & Monster are great in my books . It showcase what I want ARASHI to do more often

doing the same old boring pop songs is a major bore to me

Jup, "Monster" also gives me the "truth"-feeling (which is VERY good, because "truth" was my first Arashi-song and the reason why I fell in love with these guys!).

I also like the dance moves and can't wait to see a clean (and maybe HQ

) version of this performance!!
And Riida's voice is

And I want to mention that I'm in love with their outfits (which means a LOT, because...well...JE-outfits are not so nice all the time, as we all know! ^.^'').

In all honesty though, everything they do is pure pop, all the way. It's a boyband made to be as appealing to the mainstream as possible, after all. Not that that's bad, but I'm not sure why Monster wouldn't be considered pop and Troublemaker would be.

^I have to agree. I don't think Monster is edgy at all. It sound like the average Arashi song and I also don't hear a second truth when I listen to it. At this point I'm kind of neutral about it....don't hate it but definitely not in love with it either. I think I like Troublemaker better.

I meant the lyrics are kinda "truth 2". They're also darker than the rest of Arashi's lyrics.
The music...no, like you said, it sounds too happy, but also a bit creepy and I like this!

"truth" will always be the one Arashi song, which stands out for me, because it's so "not Arashi".
But it's my favourite song and I LOVE it very much!

I wish, they would have more song like "truth"!

the song has a feeling similar to the sound of truth. they both have that "scary" (for the lack of a better word) kind of sound, you know? but they are completely different. it's just a feeling that they both share, i guess. and it's truth #2, in a way, because it's just as amazing and different as truth was, lol. at least..to me.
