Exactly. People just need something to complain about lol.

^agree. At first I was disappointed since blossom is my favorite (judging from the previews), but this move kinda makes blossom more mysterious / special!

I'm still just as excited for this single

She rushes and we get crap like the S/S covers and a substandard album like RnR circus. I am not one of those fans like you that cherish everything that is released and feels so very blessed. I think she could do tons better and Im dissapointed that she rushes to release everything. Why dont you and whoever else agreed with you get over the fact that others may have a different opinion than yours?

not really, lol.

but anyway, they probably have some marketing scheme behind removing the pv (like adding it to the album to get people to buy it) or something so i wouldn't worry too much. I like MOON better just going by the preview of blossom but I would have liked a pv for it on the single.

Rushing made S/S and RnRC bad? But aren't all the hailed albums of Ayu-past even more rushed than her work now? Saying she's rushing now, and that's what's causing a detoriation in quality is highly highly subjective, when RnRC is far from rushed in comparison to her older work.

what ayu does is, when one of her songs (not recorded yet) is promised to be in an upcoming commercial, she records the chorus for that commercial first, and it's usually a demo-ish song. The music used in commercials is usually just 15 second songs of the chorus of her upcoming song that she sung which is unfinalized. So there could be a good change that if she ever lost lyrics to a song, she couldn't record it. but atleast she has the chorus. and even then, sometimes the lyrics used in the song for the commercial change from the final cd version.

for example, we have the full commercial mix for sparkle and it's only 17 seconds long, because it's only the chorus, but that is the entire song for the commercial. just that 17 seconds. she doesn't record a full song to be used in a commercial. after the commercial mix has been recorded, she goes back completes and rerecords the entire thing including the choruses. which, like i said earlier, if she was to ever lose lyrics to a song accidentally, there could be a chance that she wouldn't be able to record it. (atleast...the full song that is)

Well all of Ayu's works could be considered 'rushed'. I mean she's not like Hikki who release an album after years.
Ayu release an album almost every year :| and I don't get how this 'three singles-in three months' project would be rushed too. That's a good idea for her 50th single imo.

I think this Ayu timing for realese is kinda usual.

RnRC is not her BEST album, but comparing to GUILTY and NL... ehm, i really enjoys RnRC.

Ditto.

Almost half of her discography and some of her most praised works (from ASFXX to RAINBOW) were released in a less than 4 year span. My Story and m (u) two other praised works were released practically within months of each other. So whatever problems may be had with her recent releases, time is definitely not the enemy. If everything goes well, it takes like a day to record a music video and there's still WEEKS before the single is released.

Besides, I don't why this is an issue. Didn't she say that we'd see why the change happened when we see Moon's PV? Don't think she would've said that if it were a time constraint problem to me. And why is Sparkle being used as an example when we eventually did get a PV (a crappy one but still) for it?

Did I ever say you can't share your opinion? Did I ever imply that I can't comprehend how anyone thinks differently to me? No. I'm sharing my opinion, just like you did yours. Stop sooking.

You don't need to cherish everything she releases, but we are seeing a lot more activity from her than usual.

How do you know this is rushed? She recorded these songs months ago, is doing a full blown concert tour and still filming another PV and recording her next single. She's working hard, and she probably didn't want to rush (probably the only aspect of the single she didn't have time to finish) making another PV when *probably* later down the track she can make one with more time. Isn't this exactly what you want, for her not to rush something? You are disappointed she rushes a release (although you have no proof of that), but disappointed that she cut out the blossom PV. I don't get it. Even if we don't get a blossom PV later down the track, she gets to put more time and effort into the MOON PV and her next single.

I wonder how you are able to already judge this single to be a rush job and subpar before you've even heard the studio versions of the songs or seen the PV for this single.

And like others have said, this is how she works. This is how she's always worked. So unless you hate her entire discography, she's done something right if she's always recorded this way.

I think the lyrics she deleted by accident were for a future single after MOON/blossom. I'm not worrying too much, really .

Yeah, you really can't use the "rushed" excuse with ayu for why something isn't great. According to one of her GUILTY interviews, 5 of her songs that (to me) are lyrically some of her best work were all written in one day.

I disagree, for Ayu's pace, this is not rushed. Not to mention MOON and blossom (and in my opinion, the songs for the next two singles) were most likely recorded in London. That would be the only explanation for her being in the studio so often. So how is this project rushed? Does she have time to record 6 or more PVs in a timely manner? Of course not! In fact I'm not surprised at all this single only gets one PV. But that just means we'll have to wait. And since you want her to take her time, you shouldn't have a problem with that

Also, please don't blame the blasphemy that are the s/s covers and your opinion of a "substandard" album on time. I'm sure Ayu has made an album or more that you are in love with and I bet you anything it was made in the same amount or less time than RnRC. And the people responsible for the disastrous s/s covers were promptly terminated (and Shimoko put on a much needed hiatus lol). So future disasters should be less of a concert for all of us.

Just curious, what are those songs?

And I have to agree with the majority of you: you can't blame anything on avex/Ayu "rushing" the work. She's always worked at about the same pace. Plus, I honestly don't think any of it is rushed, despite how quickly her stuff comes out. We all know she's a hard-worker, and I think that's the main reason she releases so quickly, not because they rush it out. (Well, they do want to get it out as fast as possible, of course...... But you know what I mean. XP) And honestly, for the average musician, even those who don't work as hard as, say, Ayu, you can get an album done in a few months or less. Most artists don't compose anything, and the people who do the composing often already have the selected songs completed a significant amount of time beforehand. And even for an artist who writes all the lyrics or helps arrange, if you work hard or are very creative, it's not too difficult to complete several songs in a day. :O
And anyhow, even if a person composed, arranged, and wrote an entire album in a week, that doesn't mean it was rushed. It could be a piece of work where the emotions just poured out and the creativity seemed endless..... Doesn't happen a lot for most artists, lol. But don't assume something is rushed or not well thought out unless it obviously reeks of such a case. ^_^' And for Ayumi, well, I'm sure most of us would agree that a large portion (or, I personally think nearly every song in her discography, actually) does not fit the low quality standards that would be needed to assume such a thing.

...Anyhow. Didn't mean to rant, lol. :X I just don't like whenever people claim Ayu's work to be rushed (or any artist's work, as long as they have no real reason to say so), and I especially don't like it when they claim that for an album that they personally just don't like. The only album I'd say you can even consider that for would be Secret, since it was originally supposed to be a mini-album.... But, to me, even though I think that's one of her weakest albums, it's still above average compared to other music you'll see, and I don't think most of it, if any, was rushed.

The album tracks in GUILTY. I loved the lyrics to them all, especially untitled ~for her~, GUILTY, and Marionette . Also, I agree with your whole post.

u know what. I think if Ayu were to "do things slowly"... it's just not her; probably we'll get really bad-standard works. it's like.. working in a "rushed" pace seems to fit Ayu; I think she likes it too... so hey whatever, as long as she's happy!

^ I never even thought about that, but you're probably right. She's one of those people that works best under pressure... Funny, of all the people I've known like that, they truly do put out some of the best effort - except when they try to take their time, they indeed mess up. >_>

Oh man, how awesome. Marionette has some of my favourite lyrics to date (they fit so perfectly with the rest of the song, too), and untitled ~for her~ makes me tear up. ...And I'm surprised anybody read my rant. XD

Seems like a dismissive retort to me. If you didn't mean to come off that way then try not to be so patronizing. I never questioned your comprehension abilities so don't put words in my mouth.

I am completely aware of Ayu's release schedule but at the end of the day, that doesn't change that they had an idea and couldn't follow it up. I used the Sparkle PV example because it was a clear case of simply not having time to shoot a PV for a single. Some of you say 'well shes releasing 6 songs so of course shes not going to have time to shoot all the PVs.' Attractive PVs are major promotion for a song so my issue is why put herself in that position in the first place? I don"t get why she would plan to release a song, then have to backtrack and change plans because its not like her 50th single crept up on her.
I remember the I am cover story, where she had everything planned then scrapped it all overnight and shot something else that was beautiful, yet she still allowed the S/S cover to be released and then let the people responsible go after the fact? How is this her norm?
I never implied I couldn't wait for the releases but was unhappy about the missing Pv. I am perfectly happy to wait an entire year for singles or an album that wont have another No way to say/fated/Together when/ You were etc etc clone.

Otherwise most of the replies I'm getting are opinions just like mine, so I hardly think that mine is any more wrong or right than most of them. I am not trying to convince anyone of my opinion. This is a forum so I'm simply stating mine.

RnRC wasn't rushed and certainly wasn't substandard, you were prolly referring to NEXT LEVEL which was pretty much rushed, but than again the majority of Ayu albums are rushed, it's the way she works.

No, no one does that. They prolly just give them the demo version to use for the CM. No one is going to just record and mix a chorus of the song...
