the way MOON sounded reminded me of part of Me for some reason. i haven't religiously listened to MOON/blossom, but tbh i found the PV and song for MOON to be kind of boring. i wouldn't mind an upbeat nostalgic type of song because i LOVE older songs like Hana, Signal, too late etc, but i'm not holding my breath considering alot of people don't like her older songs like that.

yes, i've listened to both songs. MOON and blossom lyrics are sad sounding though. i'd like a nostalgic song about being happily in love and looking forward to a future together. XD i used to be able to relate to all of the sad Ayu songs, but that's all changed now and i find myself having to go way back to songs like Boys & Girls/trauma in order to find the happy, upbeat lyrics.

i haven't been able to hear crossroads yet, but i already like the song name!

yea MOON is definitely a sad song..
but blossom not a sad song.. it's more like encouraging song hence the title also "blossom" hehe
the reff part is definitely not sad though.. hehe..

I believe the reason we don't have any songs like this lately is because Ayu is not happily in love. You do remember that she writes what she is feeling at that particular time? She doesn't have someone special in her life, boyfriend wise, so why would she fake that emotion if she's not really feeling it?

But the chaku uta was supposed to be for the 49th single, it wouldn't make much sense to give the preview of the B-side off of the single. Though the song honestly sounds like a B-side, lol.

I thought the guy who did A Song is Born composed Crossroad and that was previously the only song he's done with Ayu?

But I think people outside Japan really prefer the newer material.

I'm not sure that is correct because I remember someone posted the rankings of the albums that the Japanese fans liked around the time when (miss)understood came out and both MY STORY and/or Memorial address were in the top 3 after Duty and both LOVEppears and A Song for XX were near the bottom.

I don't think MOON or blossom sounds particularly like Asfxx era at all... :S Am I missing something? I think both songs have a great feeling of nostalgia and maybe it's making people nostalgic of old-Ayu... but I don't hear similarities.

The only similarities I find between MOON / blossom and anything else in Ayu's discography is that blossom sounds a bit like fairyland in the bridge.

I totally adore the idea of going back to an older style. How it may work, we never know but I really feel for that intention and the music

MOON and blossom dont have THAT osund because of the rock...songs in ASFXX didnt have such a powerful sound. I hope she does rerecord ASFXX the song itself omg..using that same background music
