I've said it a few times before. Most of the people who buy this single are going to be devoted fans, a huge percentage from Japan would have attended one of her arena shows this year and heard MOON. Bam, you got a whole bunch of sales right there.

Magazines/TV promotion is the promotion WE see. It doesn't mean the regular joe is going to go buy her single. I really doubt the sales would have been affected much if she did a cover or two.

But you are right, Sunrise got a lot more promotion. It had TV lives, full PVs, a tie in, billboards and magazine promotion.

I actually believe that Sunrise/Sunset was meant to be a smash hit selling single, but the covers scared buyers away I really believe this lol

I guess that's why it did a lot better with downloads instead.



MOON / blossom is such a weak single! in terms of everything (promotion, songs (they're nothing like wowomfg), covers, pv). And yeah, I'm pretty sure that if this single is selling at all is thanks to those devoted fans and that she actually performed MOON live.

I agree with you. Nothing about the two songs are mind blowing, they seem like tracks that would be featured on a new album (which I wouldn't complain with, they're beautiful songs). There was absolutely no promotion for this single except Ayu performed MOON at her own concert.

The covers aren't that bad, but they're just beauty shots imo.

I think we know as fans, if we never knew Ayu, then we wouldn't pay special attention to this single. And this is why I agree with koshka's statement:

That's not that bad, there are old fans that appreciate whatever she does but she need to experiment more in my opinion.
