High schooler Ryu Hwayoung joins T-ara, making it 7-members



In a surprise event, Ryu Hwayoung has joined the girl group T-ara.

T-ara is a 6 member girl group, now being reborn into 7 members is quite a surprise.

On hte 16th, according to officials, the 17 year-old high school girl is becoming a new part of T-ara has been finalized. She will be joining the six existing members, Hyomin, Soyeon, Boram, Eunjung, Qri and Jiyeon to be reborn into a 7-member girl group. Ryu Hwayoung is the same age as Jiyeon, the youngest, but was born later, making her the new maknae.

Core Contents Media said to Star News today, "to advance T-ara further to show a new appearance, Ryu Hwayoung has decided to join."

As a new member of T-ara, Ryu Hwayoung's hometown is in Gwangju where she is currently in high school. This spring, her and her twin sister participated in several different pageants/contests.

Back in May, Ryu Hwayoung had an appearance in an SBS variety show with garnered viewers' attention.

so they can all work more and make more money for the company hwayoung can do individual activities like eunjung/hyomin/jiyeon and make more money or pull in a few more fans. and if one or two of them has to skip performances and stuff to do their own thing there would still be enough members to fill in the empty spaces

T-ara members have the most unique names in the industry imo. Im not sure I like the addition and stepping down but we'll see...maybe boram may be given the centre now...though eunjung will still standout slightly because of rapping and her height

the original 3 will probably stay the main focus as usual, putting boram in the center would be terrible for their image. they only made her the leader because eunjung chose to step down since she was too busy and boram was the oldest
she'll probably be the type of leader that 4minute has eunjung will probably remain the unofficial leader like she was even when jiae was still the leader since she has the most experience and they all respect her the most and she takes care of the other members the best

jiwon was never the leader, it was jiae and she was only the leader for a little over a month in 2009 before their debut until her and jiwon left

it sounds like something they just made up after the horrible response that boram becoming leader got i bet hyomin won't be the leader for a long time, if you know anything about her you know shes not suited to be a leader yet

T-ara’s Boram took on her first acting role in the one time drama special, ‘Wearing Purple Heels, Grim Reaper is Coming’. On the 7th, the special aired and her fans were impressed by her acting.

Boram plays the cute grim reaper in the drama, and becomes the love messenger for two other characters.

Her mother, Lee Mi Young, is known for being a famous actress in Korea, so it looks like these genes were passed down.
