I think that's part of the reason as well. With leaks happening left and right, most people can hear an album before it hits stores and decide whether it's good or not. They don't have to wait and find out after paying for it. Most of what I hear (the few times I listen to radio) is trash. It's really no wonder more people choose to illegally dl music, imho there's not that many artists/albums/singles worth the money. There are plenty of good albums that I've dled illegally of course (mainly Jpop) and those albums I'm in the process of or will eventually buy because they're worth it.

If it follows the pattern then 50th will be the highest selling one, which even without the v~f~s comparison I think will.

I agree. I also disagree that the 49th will sell less...it has been confirmed that they will actually promote the next two...lol.

Yeah I really want her to break the streak and then we can chill out a little bit. Lol. Of course I'll keep rooting for her #1 after #1 but I'd be less crushed. I just don't want her to fall short when she's THIS CLOSE to overtaking Seiko.

We have to be careful about that... I think September 1st is favorable for me, if Avex and/or Ayu announces the 49th single release date NOW or sometime this week...

Sayuri Sugawara and miwa (my two other favorites) are about to release singles on September 1st, but I don't think that's very much of a threat... SPEED may be the highest, but maybe not as high...

^ yeah GLAY is releasing Precious on 8th Sept , I'm so excited ! it has been way too long after they put out I am xxx which was extremely kick ass <3

Well now that MOON / blossom is officially #1 , I guess everyone will be speculating when crossroad will be released & also will it be another double A-side release in the mix again x)

not much competition for ayu on September...
The biggest threat is coming from Glay...
if she realease on 1st September it will be an interesting match too...but i think ayu still can win...

This is great news! I think the single did very well especially without promotions. Hopefully it will sell over 100k in the end.
