I don't get all the love for TABOO. I mean, it's a nice song to me but not brilliant or anything. Driving, This is not a love song etc sound much better to me ^-^;; (but tastes differ)

It took me a bit to fully appreciate TABOO. I mean, the chorus is very "watery" - not as good as the rest of the song and the chorus is very important - it has to have that extra kick from the verses. But I've grown to like it as is, but Driving is just a masterpiece, start to end!

What I actually like most about TABOO is the slick PV (Honestly, one of her best. Plus she's actually FIERCE in it, not smily-cutesy-funny) and the post-chorus. The part right after the first chorus. I know it sounds silly but that part really made the song for me XD

my younger sister whom watched that Shin Domoto Kyoudai clip told me this interesting fact just now when we were eating dinner

it's a known fact that Kumi lost weight after she released affection but I didn't expect that my sister told me that Kumi had to do that , if not her PVs will be made ala anime/cartoon like style according to what avex told her

well I'm not sure how much truth there's on what my sister said :O

That's the truth, even Max told her that she was too "fat" and that they won't show her in PVs... it's in this big movie like documentary.

TABOO was something fresh, and something that kuu needed to release from ages ago! xD after that TRICK came out of course, and Driving in it *o* I wish she could stick to that genre a bit longer!!!

That's horrible. But I don't think it's entirely true. I always found kumi to be a very skinny woman. They haven't done it with any other avex artist, so I don't think they would start with her.

I love trick. One of my favorites. Everything from the cover to the songs to Dirty Ballroom (my favorite concert by her) The only thing that brings it down are the ballads. Moon Crying, Joyful, ai no kotoba (doesn't she already have a hundred of these?), and stay with me. Not that they were bad songs, but I think this is one of those few times that the album would have done better without any ballads. I think they should have just saved them all for Best.

I agree, Kuu is super skinny, but the Japanese have different (and unhealthy, if you ask me) standards. I've often seen her being described as "chubby and with short, stubby legs."

Which really makes me want to punch those people, but what are you going to do about it?

I went to Japan 5 years ago during the time when I lost a lot of weight but man , when I was there , I felt really out of place

it was virtually impossible to buy clothes in Japan as everyone is SO petite & I felt like a giant D:

Kuu is very short. As soon as she puts on a little weight, it's visible. She almost always wears high heels because her legs are so short. But I think she's in really good shape right now, I hope she keeps it up! You can see she's been working hard.

I really can't wait to see DMP or UNIVERSE!

I thought the thing about Kuu's PVs being animated was on her wiki article XD The Japanese idea of beautifully skinny is North America's idea of ugly skinny. Kuu is no where near as skinny as the models in magazine ads for diet pills. However, this is the female ideal of skinny, I have no idea how men feel about this.

And TABOO is a masterpiece. It's not just about the arrangements of the song, but the feeling. I hear so much power and emotion behind it, like she really means what she is saying. And for a dance song, that's amazing to me. Kuu's music isn't about topping another song for me, all songs are unique and have different meanings, so it's more about how I connect to them.
