Well Utada hasn't really been doing anything lately.....its not surprising nobody voted for her....she was already voted the most influential Japanese singer of the last decade (2000-2010) so I guess thats already enough....looks like she has some catching up to do in the near future.

Of course, being one of the most powerful women in Asia I think she should be a little higher but the placing is still really good, proves how much influence she still has. honestly, people can hate on utada, buit whenever she's not on a poll i can't take it seriously. her success makes it seem like the people asked were biased somehow or something for her not to make the list

Haha~ u have to understand. Compared to many musicians here hikki is not that active. And when she is its not like she's everywhere doing stuff and being a powerful influence. She's just there when she is (she not michael jackson lol).

So tbh I couldn't take this seriously if she placed higher than Arashi XD

I'm sorry but I agree with max. Utada sells so much and she was one of the main influences for RnB to hit japan. I don't get how she didn't make it on the list :S I love that ayu ranked but to be fair i felt some people should be above her like the president of nitnendo XD congratz to her though!

Oh yeah, Kana is on the list as well And shes kind of a newbie compared to most of these people so its quite exciting even if she isn't extremely high up there.

I think Ayu is ranked quite adequately since they are including Politicians,athletes and all plus its not like she's in her prime yet people still consider her to be influential.

Agree on Kitano Takeshi, the man is so awesome and respected by even some foreigners to a great degree.
