yeah man & by later today (it's already Thurs morning for me xD) , Boku no Miteiru Fukei will outsold the whole total amount of Dream"A"live , Time & let alone their debut album

Hard to believe that their debut album only cleared 320K+ & it's their best selling album before Boku no Miteiru Fukei comes in :O

nope

SMAP is still the best selling Johnny's of all time with 30-31 million worth of material sold by them since their debut in 1991

2nd's still KinKi Kids with 23-24 million

I don't know where ARASHI's at , but I'm assuming 3rd ?

just because in recent times ARASHI has been gaining in sales/popularity , doesn't mean you can say something as so
That's not what I was saying. Arashi is currently outselling all the other Johnny's acts. You can't deny that.

ARASHI is outselling every other japanese artist/band/male/female/solo/solo with band/whatever in Japan for 2 years already.
They have few of the best selling singles this year and are going to have the best selling album of the year, 2nd year in a row, that's just amazing. x_X

Did it happen with B'z or Mr.Children or SMAP or GLAY (or other acts if you want to mention bands/singers) in japan's history?

(Excluding ayu and hikki of course)

Yeah, that's pretty much what I was saying. Their overall sales numbers aren't as high as some of the older acts, but that is a reflection of the times of overall lower sales in general. However, no other artist has ever man handled the Oricon yearly charts like they have now for three years in a row.

I agree... I have never seen something like this - maybe it's because of Johnny's reluctance of putting it onto digital music stores such as iTunes...

But if Arashi goes for "four in a row", would that be kind of unlucky? I was putting that thought up because the number 4 is UNLUCKY in Japan (and this was the case when Ayu decided to not receive the Japan Record Awards after her third straight time because she wants to play fair as well as prevent the unlucky four-in-a-row stuff)...

And if this is even possible, maybe the opponents against Johnny's might want to call a lawsuit that Johnny's sales such as Arashi has prevented new artists from getting #1, and it could be a possible reference to the Antimonopoly Law in Japan or such... It seems that Johnny and Associates are monopolizing Japanese pop music in some way, and I think that is unfair...

Maybe Arashi should take a break after the next album...

Nothing you said there makes any sense.

An antimonopoly law does not mean you can sue an artist for being popular. It's not Arashi that's FORCING the people to buy their stuff. They just release something. People like it. That's all there is to it. You can like it or dislike it, but that's the way it is.
