nope. unless you request to ship the cds whenever they are available, online shops will ship them out when all are available. and they only charge your card when they ship out your cds.

Imagine if you order 2 cds, one is to be release on 2nd Sept and the other is to be release on 14th Sept. Then for some reasons, you don't wan the first cd, if the shop charge you when the first cd is release, won't that be a big problem? Either you end up chasing after your money that's been charged or you are unable to cancel, that's bad.

well, they do have the cds in stock, but it's not consider sold. since it's not yet shipped, so there's chances that buyers might edit their order, or cancel off any items.

I had emailed cdjapan, and they replied me that sales count towards Oricon AFTER the cd is ship.
so for those who are ordering kuu single/ and both ayu singles.... your sales will count when L is shipped out...

Ouch... I can not afford two shipments. But I know at places like HMV, shipping is free for Japanese residents, so maybe they'll buy them separately? Are you located in Japan, LacusClyne? If not, maybe CDJapan's shipment prices are not the same for the Japanese and they can afford two shipments....?

All hell would break loose if Koda Kumi broke Ayu's single streak, especially right there at the tip of breaking the record of whatever amount of consecutive #1s.
O____O
I personally wouldn't care much though. LacusClyne's explanation does make sense though.

I'm hope there's no foul play against Kumi that week. It wouldn't be to hard to for Avex to "control how many copies get sold" unless the fact that she's with rhythm zone means they don't have as much control. They are the distributors though, right?

I don't know...I'm fairly certain that unless they pull some kind of crazy new marketing thing for Kuu's single to make it more special...I don't think she'll get more sales...

then again...I'm more interested in seeing how their advertising goes...especially since Ayu's 50th is coming out the next week...they may not even advertise a lot for crossroads...and they better give kuu all she deserves lol

The Japanese do totally eat up the ballads...and walk...like Lacus said...whatever...it's gonna be fun. I don't really care who gets higher sales...I think sales may hit an all time low for both singles...

I hate to say it but Crossroad seems to be a throw away single much like how MOON/blossom appears to be. Just stepping stones to get to "L." But even with promotion for Gossip Candy and everything, it was no match against little-to-no-promotion-whatsoever M/b... So I think it will be interesting to see how this plays out. And it would be interesting to see which side fans will sway with the most. It's not uncanny for their to be fans of both girls obviously. Hopefully they support both.

I agree but I have this strong feeling that no matter which one gets number one that some fans of the other might start staying that there was foul play involved.

@Jbrat: the thing with Gossip Candy is that the main songs in it aren't the Japanese kinda songs; they're all upbeat songs that yeah... aren't popular with the genereal public,

But with suki de x3, it's a 3-ballad single including the remake of walk which probably is highly anticipated. I don't know, but I would say suki de x3 has the "backing" of the general public?

Of course Ayu most likely would get #1 weekly with her fanbase (which is what her releases are usually targeted to nowadays)... but we will see. I'm almost 100% positive that avex will do some tweaking, or at least ensure that Ayu will break Seiko Matsuda's streak~ ^^

^ Ah I see what you mean.

Like someone else mentioned, I'm interested in seeing how the promotion turns out. Who gets heavy promo and who doesn't or if they will be even. Or even MORE amazing, they promote together! :O

I'm pretty sure Kuuu would be on TV shows; not too sure for Ayu though... crossroad just seems like "whatever" compared to L coming a week later lol

Yeah definitely. How weird is it that both of Ayu and Kumi's singles are released in the same month... this next one the same day...

I hope Avex won't be cheap, and they'll go all out for everything.

That would be awesome.

what? you need to remember that Lollipop did way better than MOON in the digital charts, I think japanese people really loved this song :3

^I forgot about that as well. I wonder if that means Kuu's starting to be a stronger digital seller than a physical seller.

But if you'll notice, it seems to be a summer song sort of thing. Sunrise didn't sell very well physically but was a digital hit, the same thing happened with Lollipop. I think those kind of songs attract digital consumers but not necessarily physical consumers.
