for me, the original version of that song bored me so i didn't have much faith in ayu's version.. but i have hope that CMJK can save it . it's very rare for me to dislike a song arranged by him.

Well I just wanna say that my excitement and expectations about the entire "road to 50th single" project has dropped drastically. But I have come to terms with it I suppose and I'll take the songs as they are. crossroad is quite nice - I want to hear it in HQ. I'll look forward to the rest but I won't expect anything revolutionary. I don't think I'll ever expect anything revolutionary anymore just to be on the safe side. Lol.

Exactly my thoughts atm. The Sweet Season PV sounds interesting at least.

Also, the "Sweet Season" video has an American 1960's feel to it.

Then it mentions that we should look forward to "SEVEN DAYS WAR" piano version, which Ayu let him make after he expressed that he wanted to do so.
60s huh? That could be really interesting, I really love the Mad Men style haha
Thank you for the translation!

I hope she releases a ballad mini-album or something like that

+3

Too much ballads, slower and boring songs. The only song I love from her last singles is crossroad. And if there are 3 new ballads on L... :/
This 50th single project could have been so epic, I'm a bit sad.
Hopefully the special tour ending will have a great stage and stelist.

^ Corvina, your PM box is full again, I can't reply

Is it said from official sources that all songs on L will be ballads??
I have to say, I am not dissapointed with her new works, but I expected something more..special, something that goes BOOM! from the 49th and 50th single. But I guess we were all just too hyped up. I mean, the "road to 50th single" was a nice idea, but somehow it didn't felt like somthing unique to me in the end result. (Still have to wait for L to judge fully, though.)

It's not surprising to me at all that a lot of these songs are turning out to be ballads. Ayu is known for her ballads and they have (generally) been her most successful songs.

Hmmn, I'm kinda surprised that some of you are disappointed regarding all ballads for the 48th, 49, 50th single project. Probly I didn't hope for specific genre in the beginning, so I'm not disappointed. I thought MOON/blossom was a bit dull in the end, but crossroad is a pleasant surprise. From the beginning I only hoped that the songs would not be bad. That's all . Of course it would be great if the songs in L have varieties, but all ballad is good for me as well .

^ well, I love blossom and crossroad, but sadly MOON was dissapointing to me. The lyrics were wonderful as ever, I guess she will never fail to amaze me with her wonderful writing talent, but well, melody wise MOON didn't blow me away. & I would have liked something cheerful, maybe even strong or sexy or whatever for the 50th single at least. Something that makes you feel this is a celebration, a milestone.
I love her ballads, but especially since its her general genre, the 50th single should also have something different. When I read the title "Virgin Road" I thought that would would be the one. I mean, the titles "Sweet Season" and "Last angel" already have this ballad-touch to it.

wow Last angel is from TK too?
that's kinda wow for me...even if i'm ballad sucker...but still i'm hoping someone else created song for her...kikuchi will be the best option...

i'm scared, if we already have so much ballad in the single, how her new album will be... O_O

Anyway, well I guess I've come to accept L would most likely be all ballads...as long as they're good, then it's good I guess!

Lol...some people expect too much. A ballad 50th single is special and very personal...I rather she create something the general public will like than a rock, electro, pop single where only her fans will enjoy. I mean, even kuu is employing the triple ballad single concept. Plus, with this many ballads, I feel like ayu is returning to ground zero n basics. While she can preserve her voice, we can also be sure that ayu will surely create something drastically different from her singles this year. It just makes the album to come much more anticipated. I think this plan great for ayu..

I can only say, keep an open mind. If you are so hard up about it, I guess, you probably won't be enjoying as much as others...of course I want something upbeat, but I can make..I mean, to Me, ayu ain't avoiding it n just feeding us with ballads
