I have to say, you got me thinking here... that an all-ballad single is very personal.. I know she will make me love this single eventually (as I love the covers now), but I still would have liked something upbeat, one song would've been enough.

Anything can be personal for her, she WRITES THE LYRICS. She could make the song anything she wants, it doesn't HAVE to be a ballad to be personal. A Song for xx is INTENSELY personal, but it's not a ballad, but a dark rockish song(At least in it's modern incarnations, still wasn't a "ballad" on ASFxx either).

I do agree that her 50th single should be an all ballad. But it's obnoxious since the 48th AND 49th singles were ballad singles as well. Her summer pop songs are JUST as popular in Japan as her ballads, yet she skipped out on doing that for her big project.

Yeah but according to Max Matsuura's tweet "さっき50枚目の「L」の完パケが届いた。すごい豪華で期待大" .... He received the final "L" single package and it is gorgeous... So it seems there is a special package anyway..

And lol again with the 'expect too much' comments, how is wanting more variety in the singles which like she usually does 'expecting too much'? How is wanting this singles project to actually be interesting instead of 'let's play it safe and feed Japan the ballads they're guaranteed to eat up' 'expecting too much'? lol Some people and their defensiveness I swear.

I think everyone's idea of the 50th single was ~edgy, electro, ballad~ and dreams have been crushed at the idea of all ballads. I gotta admit, I was part of that group but I'm not going to complain anymore. Especially if the songs are great! The country thing is kind of a turn off for me but we'll see cause BUCK-TICK did a country inspired song and it's one of my favorites. I'm excited for the 60's video and I'm still looking forward to Last Angel. Virgin Road sounds REALLY and Sweet Season is chill, it's okay. Not really excited about it though. Anyway all in all, I was kind of "meh" about MOON, I love blossom (600+ plays!) And I absolutely, positively ADORE crossroad. So all in all I can't really complain about this single project anyway just because there's nothing to shake my ass too! She gave me an entire album to do that with and masterpieces on RnRC so that's enough for me for now. Plus she can knock out all the ballads on the upcoming album NOW and we'll get booty shaking music later~ ;D Or just... really good pop LOL.

GREEN DAYS is my fav song from him...and it's got a lot of country music influence...i think Sweet season will becoming a song like that, medium upbeat song, catchy, relaxing...
