This is what I got from the Google Translate of the news source, (of which this is the link btw: http://news.walkerplus.com/2010/0928/2/)
In the CM, they use classic love ballads, like the one's of Edith Piaf, and some other Japanese singer, but I'm not sure of Utada has covered one of them, written a new song that sounds like it, or they just use one of the old songs. Will update this or post a new posts once I've found out more. Omg I'm so excited!! Edit: okay she seems to have covered Edith Piaf's Hymne à l'amour, the CM airs October 2nd and the Chaku-uta will be released September 28th. Edit 2: she has a twitter account: @ utadahikaru. Also these: @ u3music and @ hikki_staff. Also, there's something about a Pepsi concert the 8th and 9th of December in Yokohama Arena and she seems to be performing but I'm not sure. Yes confirmed, new digital single Hymne à L'amour, from what I understand the Chaku-uta is already out and the Chaku-uta full will release October 9th, or they both release October 9th I'm not sure. Anyway the promo pic is GORGEOUS

So... This Hymne à L'amour will be one of her 5 new songs from SC2? (She can speak French? Never heard of that..)
I'm excited to see something new from hikki.. but... sigh... I wish she's working for coke, not pepsi. I prefer coke lol. PS: She looks younger... like.. I'm feeling the vibe of W&S hikki from the pics.

okay... I'm kinda confused.. why does she use a French (cover) song to promote her upcoming Japanese (best) album?
 Edit: I'm even more confused... The link you posted above.. I look at the paragraph (didn't know much Japanese), but there're some characters (Chinese) implying that she wrote Japanese lyric for that song. Someone please translate... ..Edit 2: It seems like she "translated" the French lyric into Japanese lyric. In the cm she sang the French one tho..

The chaku-uta (not full, just 2 parts) is out TODAY!
Also, she's having 2 concerts in Yokohama Arena the 8th and 9th of December! @bluegie: It's just a digital single, like Fight The Blues or This Is Love. I'm pretty damn sure we'll also get a main single with an actual new song! |
