‘Oooku’ Might Open In North American Theaters

At a promotional event for the highly-anticipated periodical film ‘Oooku’, which stars Shibasaki Koh and Arashi’s Ninomiya Kazunari, the cast were present to thank the fans that supported them. They also revealed that the film has been getting quite a number of offers to be released overseas!

As of now, the movie drew in an audience of more than 1 million, and is a certified blockbuster with a gross of 13 billion yen since its opening.

There’s a good chance that this movie will open in theatres in North America as several positive reviews for the movie have already been made. Fans in some Asian nations, such as Taiwan, should remain hopeful as their theatres have already extended an offer to the ‘Oooku’ team.

Also during the event, the director was asked whether he’s planning to make a sequel for the movie. He confessed that he has not yet planned if he’ll make one, but seeing how much people have enjoyed the movie, he’s motivated to make something that will thrill the audience.

I've just finished watching the first episode of "Freeter, Ie wo kau" and it's sooooo good.
Nino's acting is wonderful again and the whole story is so interesting. I can't wait for the second episode and I hope that somebody will upload the first episode in HQ soon, because the one I watched was only LQ..but nevermind, I really needed to see it and I'm not disappointed!!

Yeah, it really makes you wonder what the sales for Arashi's albums would be if this were ten years ago......Given sales trends I would say close to double.

Two people arrested for selling fake Arashi concert tickets

After stealing money from people they had lured in using their internet message board posts saying they were selling Arashi concert tickets, the Metropolitan Police Department announced today they have arrested a man and a woman on fraud charges, reports Jiji Press.

Police investigations have reported that part-time worker Hikaru Sato (23) and a 32-year-old man from Gunma prefecture may be responsible for stealing a total of 720,000 yen in five cases which happened between September 2009 and January 2010.

It has been reported the two have admitted to their charges

My friend in Fukuoka watched the 1st episode of Freeter last night & yeah she said it's a good start to the drama
