TSUNAMI by Southern All Star is such a great song!!!! Chika Yuri did a great cover of it; it's so nostalgic.

SMAP's song on there, "Sekai ni hitotu dake no hana wo" was the highest ranked song last year, if I'm not mistaken. Moreover, it sold many more copies than most of the top-ranked songs have for the past few years. You know that it's been requested a lot and sang at karaoke a TON. If they're counting those two things, surely Fragile is at the top, because it's been at the top of the karaoke chart for, literally, years. Seasons has, too, though.

It sucks, sure, but don't forget that the general population is fickle. Most people listen to many different singers and don't have a necessary "favourite."

SMAP (especially Takuya Kimura) and Fukuyama has like a legion of loyal female fans...not surprised they beat Ayu. Look guys...although Ayu's one of the best in the music industry she's by no means the top of the *entertainment* industry...most artists who both sing and act in doramas (like the two mentioned) are probably more popular overall..
