I hope so! The first DH sold 66k, the second sold 40k, so I expect this one to sell even less than that.

Yeah but Driving Hits was Kuu's first MAJOR remix album, right?

I don't really think that had anything to do with it, even if it was her first remix album. It was released on the same day as her collab best and DH outsold that.

Many of us expected it to be the other way around.

DH is also cheaper. 2,000 yen is a steal, haha.

^I hope she will. <3

And I definitely hope that DH3 will sell better because to be honest, after I heard all the previews for DH3 I haven't even cared about ayu-mi-x 7 at all. :'D Haven't even listened to it though it has been on my computer for a week or something. I just don't care, I'm completely concentrated of DH3 <3

My favourite remix ever has to be the FREAKY reggae remix on the single that is pure love <3 And Ai no Uta -URBAN KISS-

Sales Update
8th week = 2,034
Total = 199,336

Such a shame it missed 200k this week but next week is pretty much a given

I feel like I love the ayu-mi-x series because back in the day I wasn't really a fan of Ayu's original works. It took me a long time to appreciate them. But with Kumi, I love her originals so I never bothered with the remixes lol. I STILL have yet to listen to the first DH.

^ You are depriving yourself tbh... remixes never match up to the originals with me, but they are a nice bonus. Most of Kuu's are high quality but she has a few bad ones as well. DH2>DH1 but I like them both.

Great sales for a great album. & now, I'm ready for what Kuu has in store for us this year musically.

A realli good remix is the Hot Stuff remix with the long japanese title... it's so good.

I agree with the two that you picked, and I'mma add the anytime freetempo remix, the girls remix on the FREAKY single, the Cutie Honey remix on DH1...

I love Cutie Honey [HOUSE NATION Sunset In Ibiza Remix], Cherry Girl -Space Cowboy Remix-, Candy (MJ Mad reggaeton remix) and TABOO (HOUSE NATION Sunset In Ibiza Remix).

DH3 previews sound so awesome that I'm sure I'll like it over Dejavu lmao.

Eh, if I get around to listening to them I will. Not a priority right now. Much more interested in how her 50th single will turn out and her tour this year.

I'm ansious for DH3, can't wait to overplay it along with ayu-mi-x 7 ♥

About the 50th single, I guess we'll get it on July. I hope it includes "You are not alone" and awesome PVs. I don't need fours music videos like in 4 hot wave, I'd be glad with three well procuded PVs à lá 3 SPLASH

Another translated piece from KODA REKI:
Spoiler:
The history of Koda Kumi: 2000年

One year of lessons to prepare me for my debut was waiting for me after I became the runner-up at avex dream 2000. My debut would be dropped if I was judged “unqualified” in that period. It was an important period in which they would decide whether I would debut or not, so I would come from Kyoto to Tokyo on the Shinkansen to take lessons every weekend. By the way, EXILE’s Hiro-san was my dance instructor at the time.

How did I spend those important days that would determine whether I had what it takes to be an artist? I didn’t spend my days feeling anxious or anything (laughs) Because I was a fearless high school girl back then ♥ Using the 500,000 yen prize money, I would eat at department store restaurants and even though it wasn’t decided whether I would debut or not, I naively thought: “If I’m getting so many lessons then that means they’ll let me debut, right?” (laughs) I really enjoyed those days in Tokyo ♥ …My staff must have felt anxious at seeing me behave like that.

Actually, my director at the time Toku-chan threatened me: “I don’t know whether you can debut yet” even on the very day my CD hit the shelves (laughs)

During the shooting of the cover of my single TAKE BACK, no one had told me what the shoot was for so I just stood in front of the camera clueless (laughs). Actually, my debut day had already been decided but I didn’t know, so I felt insecure and thought “will that song I recorded be put on sale?” (laughs). When I saw my CD lined up the stores I felt “I really debuted!!” for the first time. I still remember how excited I was.

Beside not knowing any fear, I didn’t know the real world either. Pushing forward with my groundless confidence, I just shallowly thought “debuting at avex trax = sales!!” Fortunately, my song ranked high on the American billboard dance chart. From 6 December 2000 my spectacular life as an artist would start, well, that was the plan anyway (laughs) But life isn’t that kind…

From that point Koda Kumi’s long and lonely “winter years” would start.

Underlines/bolded part was the best of this. I lolled so hard. Oh Kuu. <3
