[05.01.11] New Goobne Commercial with Girls' Generation Released

Goobne Chicken, the South Korean restaurant chain that Girls' Generation has long been associated with, just released a new CF once again featuring the girls. In this version, five of the girls strut down a runway holding plates of chicken in 'Hoot'-themed costumes to the tune of the Goobne jingle, while the other four make a brief appearance in the Goobne chef's outfits from a few years back. For a refresher, see below:

Idk if any of you knew this already, but they're releasing MR.TAXI/RDR in all three editions (including the deluxe with the photobook and card) in both Taiwan and Korea versions, so anyone who thought the Japan versions were a bit overpriced (aka me) can get these ones instead. The Korean ones are up for preorder on eBay and the Taiwan versions (not CD only) are listed on 5music.

For the week they're #2 with 100,461 copies sold on Oricon Weekly Singles Chart.
So they passed 100k first week, I believe it's their personal record. So proud of them They just seem to be getting more and more popular.

There's a rumor that they'll perform Mr. TAXI on Music Station on the 13th but it hasn't been confirmed. I hope it's true! I'm dying for a live!

I finally received my copies of the limited edition and limited pressing versions of the single today and I love them! I held out on listening to MR. TAXI and it was definetely worth it! The song is awesome and definetely super catchy as expected! While I prefer the Korean version of the Run Devil Run MV and song, I really enjoyed the Japanese versions and I'm so happy to finally have a REAL dance version of the MV. Anyways, as far as the photobooks for both, while I thought they were nice, I kind of miss the individual full body shot pics like the ones that were in their Gee and Genie singles. But I'm also happy that they did something different or else it would have been much more predictable. I also got the Seohyun card which I love! She gets prettier and prettier every time I see her.

Girls' Generation to Perform 'MR. TAXI' on Music Station

Girls' Generation will perform on TV Asahi's Music Station on May 13th.

They will be performing their popular new single , 'MR. TAXI,' which was released on April 27th. Since this song is the girls' first original Japanese single, many are curious to see how they will perform and what kind of outfit they will reveal that day. After the news was released, the girls said, "We've been wanting to perform the song ever since it was finished. Even if it only helps a little, we will try our hardest to make everyone in Japan feel better, so please look forward to it."
