Well, it's not really a "BEST" album. None of the songs were hits really and very few of them were even singles.

To be very honest, when i saw 'checkmate!' ninki last week with only 150.00, i was so disappointed & worry about her actual sale, because Love Songs/RnRC had a better ninki and they sold... just in a okay level i guess...
but now i feel so proud of her <3 so next time i just need to believe in her not that ninki xD

If you're competent enough to correct someone then you should be able to understand what they were trying to say in the first place. It is obvious that not all 'Best/Compilation' albums sell well. C'mon now, that's a given. But in regard to very popular mainstream artists, "chances" are they do. I think that was the point that was trying to be made here.

My apologies then. It's just whenever you post comments indented to correct someone else's in the Namie threads (or other threads), they usually come off as a bit rude and serious. Now I am aware that your intentions are meant to be comical and helpful. And no, I'm not a very sensitive person. lol!

i thought namie would release a new studio album this year, but then Checkmate! got announced. so i'm not sure. maybe at the end of this year? or early 2012.

^ I was thinking the same. She was trending toward releasing a studio album every two years so 2011 would've been the year for a new one. I'm not complaining because I actually really like Checkmate. I'm also thinking 2012 could possibly be the year for a new album. Other than that, I'm still expecting some more new material this year. Another thing Namie has been doing lately is releasing one single a year. Although we've gotten Checkmate and Fight Together we still haven't seen a single. I want her to maintain her ranking as a female artist with the highest consecutive years of a top 10 hit.

if the artist is popular, the sales are amazing.Obviously Namie is one of the best female artists in Japan, and her sales are really good. Not every BEST released by some artist sell well, Example: alan and her Japan Premium Best, the sales of the best are lower than her 2 studio albums.
