Ayu's music is very specific. It's definitely not trendy, if that makes sense. I mean, there aren't many popular singers making songs like Love song
you cant really slam everyone into a group. I was born in 86 and remember jamming out to Madonna when i was 6. Everyone has didnt taste.
What we were saying was introduce her to those age groups and it might open up her fan base a bit.

I wasn't slamming anyone into groups :-\

I was just saying that when I was 10, within my age group, Madonna was definitely not at the top. It was Britney or Christina. I'm not saying no one was listening to Madonna when I was 10, just that it was far less than the other two within my age group.

And anyway, I wasn't trying to dissuade you from your opinion. I was just chiming in :-\

well.....i introduce Ayu to my family...well some of them didn't even bother about her, but my younger sisters seem to like her. and my mom also like some of Ayu's songs.

When i introduce Ayu to some of my friends. well, I got some mixed reviews. and mostly, most of them can't stand her voice, but they did say her music are definitely the best part of her discography.

I think you misunderstood what i was saying. I think we are saying the same thing, but differently.. I will say i shouldnt of used the world slam... its too, harsh I guess... You shouldnt group people together...because everyone has their own taste.
I too was listening to Brit Brit and Christina (which the latter is SO much better, lol, but thats a different comment.)

^ I wish I could get behind mini-albums! Most times they are SO good and the concepts for the album are great I wish they could be full length albums!
Like Ayumi's Memorial Address! I wish this was a full album! the music that is one it is amazing and I would of loved to heard another 6 or 7 songs with this album!

I think an "Vocal album" would be cool. Instead of using instruments in the song, they should replace that with only voices . I love those songs.

It reminds me the album "Medulla" by Björk. It's a really cool concept, but i think it would be too experimental and unexpected for Ayu-fans.

Maybe that's why it was so good more concentrated energy for less songs...

Maybe more songs would have pulled Memorial Address down....

I agree, especially as I don't think ANGEL'S SONG and Greatful days are that amazing, would the rest of the tracks been like these, or the stand out tracks? I think it's just that this album concentrates 3-5 stand out discography tracks depending on who you ask - I know there are some anti-forgiveness people and anti-Episode II. As you can see, I also dislike the upbeat tracks while others will love them. While I'd say on average, most albums contain 1 or 2 - which is less to MA, but again, your mileage may vary. It's just an idea.

I absolutely cannot imagine Memorial address without ANGEL'S SONG and Greatful days
The album is simply great,it has all your listening concentration from begging to the end.
And forgiveness followed by memorial address,it has such an
elegantly and classic ending to it.

^ I think my least favorite track on Memorial address is Angel song.. lol.. I love the song, but numbering them from my favorite to least, its at the last of the list!
I dont think more songs would of watered the album down... I think she was going through a very good musically time and more music would of been SO much better!

Same here. I love ANGEL'S SONG and I also think Greatful days is so fun - seriously, it's a great summer song that has something different than the "fairyland-BLUE BIRD-glitter" thing going on.

Also, I will never understand why some people would prefer a mini-album over a full album. Why the HELL would you want that?

I don't know about you guys, but for me
ANGEL"S SONG is the only upbeat song of Ayu
when i actually CRY listening to it.
Song just swoops you into it,
and i all of a sudden shed tears of happiness.
It was more of subtle crying...ahem, you know,
a few tears.
(this was embarrassing now wasn't it)
as for the mini albums, yeah i don't get either.
financial wise she could earn a lot more from a full length album.
although I wanted Secret to be mini album release,
just so because all of the album songs that i liked had PV's for them
but they skipped kiss o' kill entirely for a pv candidate

Ha ha what a coincidence, I was also born in 1986 and I was also into Madonna when I was 3-7 lol Britney was in diapers back then.

The difference is, Madonna tried to adopt and gain new fans by taking on what's currently in, while Ayu does her own thing most of the time. Imo that's alright and I wouldn't want it any other way cuz "the new kids" have loads of dumb music to listen to. It might sound selfish, but I don't really care if others like her or not as long as she makes music I like. It's not like Ayu isn't changing or growing, it's just that she isn't doing the sugary R'n'B or that not all of her songs are electro club bangers.

I pretty much don't see why would someone prefer a mini over a full album...

@njanjayrp
Or to sing a bunch of random stuff, randomly packed like some
lady's gagas.:-/
Although I like what GaGa does at certain points,
now to say the least she really is at the edge of glory.
Last 3 songs at least for me failed in comparison to
what she did prior to them
