I don't think you have to be Japanese to like a lot of these songs, but I think they will grow on you eventually if you give them a chance. At the moment, I am loving beloved and progress the most, but those are also the tracks I've gotten to listen to most out of the leaked tracks. Can't wait to listen to Why... and ANother song more, tbh~

I wonder where the latest leaks came from... sample CDs?

so this mini-album is only consisted of ballads and mid-tempos except BRILLANTE i guess....

What about progress?

Though it seems like judging from the 'official' descriptions for all of the tracks... the only remotely 'upbeat' one is progress.

progress - none given? Just 'Tales of Xillia' theme song
ANother song - medium ballad
beloved - ballad
Why... - medium number
BRILLANTE - medium track with movie soundtrack-like sounds

I wonder if we're going towards an era of Ayu-mediumness.

Ok, unless BRILLANTE blows my picky / disappointed mind and I feel like going to heaven and back, I'll proclaim this mini-album being... not a complete, but sth very close to failure. Simply, progress is not enough to make this album GOOD.

ayu broke my heart. even Kuu's 4 TIMES is much better and stronger than this mini-album. why couldn't she add interludes, introduction at least! this is so raw and incomplete...

Compared to mind blowing Memorial address that got EVERYTHING (Cheesy pop, normal pop, anger rock track, experimental "pop", experimental "ballad" (hard to indeficate Hanabi II lol) typical "power ballad", nostalgia ballad, and sad rock ballad... this is just not even average, even if BRILLANTE will become instantly the "song of the year" lol

I just consider FIVE to be a "progress" single, nothing more.

well, I love progress, Why... and am expecting to love BRILLANTE but might not.
the others I will uncheck from my itunes right away when I add the full single to it.
I personally think ayu didn't put enough thought/care into this mini album like she does with her other albums.

ANother song is better than I thought.
But... I still don't like Urata's voice.... and I don't like R&B-Style.
But it is not as worse as Dream on.
I really like the chourse of ANother song... if they would cancel Urata an that R&B-Style... it would be ok.

Everyone's so negative. I personally like all the songs I've heard so far and I'm sure BRILLANTE will be great. I like that Ayu tries new things and doesn't always do the same.
This mini album shows how strong person she is. <3

Man, I don't get it....There have been a lot of times when I've felt the album would suck basked on singles/previews, but SOMEHOW I always end up being really surprised when everything is released.

The more FIVE gets released the more I'm just like x_x I can't even remember what any of the songs sound like!!!

I'm really liking ANother Song, it's very R&B.
It's really different from what Ayu usually records, it's properly my least favorite so far though. Even though it's pretty it's just like it never really take's off, i was waiting for a more striking chorus, and i seriously wasn't sure if Ayu or Urata was singing when it began.. he sounds like a little girl sometimes lol.

All together a great song, but could have been so much better.
And seriously everyone, it's pretty much your own fault if you expect another Memorial Address, that record is like 8 years old..
Music was different at that time, she can't just make the same all over again, she has to try new things.

Further into oblivion? Perhaps for some people who were pretty much already on the edge of leaving the fandom anyway, but for others, I think it's just another Ayu release as usual.

I don't think there is any problem with the mini album.
Or I don't think it's much different if it's a single or a mini album.
I feel so exciting to have 5 new songs and 5 new PV in one album.

this <3 yeah, well. My taste is picky... I am not gonna blame Ayu for that lol. I still miss something NEVER EVER'ish or STEP you/Startin' silly pop style, but she showed me in the Love songs that she can surprise me in any other time. Too bad the mini album "goes medium ballad whoaa!"

did you even listen to the songs? I thought you said you don't before releases.
you might actually like them, since your opinion tends to differ from most ayu fans.

Oh so for the progress PV, don't get your hopes up. I watched previews and, well, I was shocked.

Think, NEXT LEVEL, minus Ayu. I suppose artistically some will like it, but let's face it, this is AHS.
