While that's all nice and true, it's her fans who got her where she is, she is able to have all the freedom because so many people liked her music at some point. And only time will tell if everything she does will do her good or not.

What doesn't mean she can't still do whatever she wants, fans liking it or disliking it...

Everything has it's limits. In the end she might be forced to switch to another label. Who knows.

Doesn't Ayu own a large percentage of avex's stock? I doubt she would change lables if she did seeing as she is till one of their top artists.

Hey people, do you think it's really for this reason she's not the last performer? I mean, since the start of the a-nation she has this tracklist & avex said her something only for the last show? Excuse me, but I think there is another reason! & avex don't want that reason spread!

It's in the Twitter thread. avex wanted Ayu to change the set list (I'm guessing to get rid of Naoya) and she refused so she wasn't going to perform at Tokyo. Then they made a deal that she could keep her set list if she let THSK go after her. Well, that's what it seems like at least.

Yeah, but There is something else behind the fact that avex want her to change her setlist!! If it was only the fan, avex'll do it immidiately & not only for the last show!

I don't know. If this last show is the only one that is recorded, Avex might have intervened more to make sure Ayu's would be a set that could sell DVDs/get viewers.

...Which is not to say that the a-nation DVDs are ever huge sellers, but I imagine Avex stil takes them pretty seriously considering how much is invested in the a-nation brand. That's all speculation, though.

Re: all the the ~dorama: It seems like this year--more than any other year--shows the disparity in preferences between the international fans and Ayu's target demographic.

.
But the setlist stay the same!! Only her place changed in the list!
& I wonder why JUNO only did one night & not the two last show?
Maybe I think too much, but I don't help me thinking that something is shady in this story!

It seems the story is that avex wanted her to change the setlist for the last two shows (and obviously no JUNO on it). She didn't accept that and she was not going to perform, but because there were lots of her fans going to see her, she was able to perform the setlist she wanted, but avex didn't let her be the last artist because of her setlist...
