so far, "Beautiful World" has sold 745,830 copies and is currently #2 on the oricon yearly albums chart for 2011. pretty soon they'll reach the sales of AKB48's album, which is #1 on the chart. i'd say arashi could even reach the million mark by the end of the year. or at least i hope, lol.

YAY! finally a new drama from an arashi member! sho will be starring in the adaption of "Nazotoki wa Dinner no Ato de", along with kitagawa keiko! it will be airing on Fuji TV on tuesday nights @ 9PM, starting in october.

Today, Fuji TV officially announced their Tuesday
9pm drama for the fall season! As it was rumored, it’s going to be an
adaption of the popular mystery novel “Nazotoki wa Dinner no Ato de“, starring Arashi’s Sakurai Sho as a butler with a wicked tongue.

Sakurai is going to play ‘Kageyama‘, a butler and chauffeur for a young and rich woman called ‘Hosho Reiko‘, played by actress Kitagawa Keiko.
Hosho, besides being the daughter of a very powerful businessman, also
happens to be a novice detective and, due to her lack of reasoning
skills, often relies on the help of her butler to smoothly solve various
cases with her. In addition to the mysterious cases, the drama is going
to feature a nice sense of comedy, focusing on the chemistry between
Reiko and her butler, who doesn’t even refrain from calling her a fool
at times.

It’s going to be Sakurai’s first starring drama on Fuji TV, and the
producer is glad that they were able to get him for the role. He stated,
“We wanted to have Sakurai for the role as the protagonist, because
he is able to portray his cool and intellectual as well as his comical
and warm side. I think we have the perfect man for this modern detective
butler.”

Meanwhile, Sakurai revealed that he already read the novel before he
received the offer, and that he is looking forward to the drama adaption
himself. He said, “The conversations were incredibly thrilling and I
couldn’t put it down once I started reading it. It feels like the drama
is going to be even more humorous than the original. I’m excited about
this and will work hard to make it a drama you are going to look forward
to every Tuesday at 9pm.”

“Nazotoki wa Dinner no Ato de” will premiere on Tuesdays in October.

it doesn't even feel like that long ago since "Tokujo Kabachi!!" aired last year, lol. i'm so excited for sho & i hope to be able to watch this new drama! especially since if sho will be playing as an butler, that means he'll be dressed in a suit?

oh, and i'm kinda thinking that new arashi drama means new arashi single. i was thinking that they should have a single in the fall anyway, so this is perfect, lol.

it wouldn't surprise me if a new single will be released from this new Sakurai / Keiko drama , especially since their last single before Beautiful World was released to promote Bartender

I frankly be shocked if it's not going to happen LOL ... then again no ARASHI song was used for Smile so :O

well, i think since matsujun & sho both had dramas back in spring '09, one of them had to have an arashi theme song. it couldn't be both, i guess, lol. this time it's just sho, and i'm pretty sure there'll be a new single. arashi only had 2 releases this year, anyway! i've never experienced a year like this during my whole fandom. i'm surprised i could handle it!

Honestly , I don't know what took DAIGO so long to appear on VS ARASHI , especially since he has appeared in previous ARASHI variety shows before such as the now defunt ARASHI no Shukundai-kun & the current ongoing Himitsu no Arashi-chan so it kind of make sense for him to appear on VS ARASHI next .

At 1st , I didn't know who she's until I saw a photo of her with MatsuJun's Domoyoji & I was like OH she plays Domoyoji Kaede aka Domoyoji's tyrant ***** of a mum :p

DAIGO almost stole the limelight from the other talento's in the group but surprisingly , he's not all that stupid & the games he participated in , he managed to nail them pretty well which I guess he's not such a crack pot after all XD

Considering that it has been such a long time since I watched a VS ARASHI episode , I really enjoyed this week's episode & hopefully this will not be the last time DAIGO will appear on the show



LOL I thought GGYK & GJ were epic terms , DGDG is so hilarious , I really have to hand it to DAIGO for coming up with all these terms in his spare time .

I haven't watch VS ARASHI in a very long time , so Thurs was quite a refresher course for me of sorts

I was sore the Falling Pipe segment wasn't there :x but at least the 'old' games I was familiar with , such as Cliff Climb still exists

I don't wish to spoil a lot of things but DAIGO participated in most of the games except for Bank Bowling

DAIGO went up against Aiba in Dual Curling & the 'consequences' were stupid ~_________________~

I should apologise in advance for all the lame puns/jokes DAIGO did during the show =____=
