They haven't rerecorded ever probably for Ayu, and she wouldn't start since she seems to hate recording studios. But they have edited stuff much more than this... like Ladies Night CDL 07-08

The bit during Do It Again where she does that long vocal thing...sounds so much better to the broadcast, play them side by side. Ayu sounds so derp during the tv version.

I just saw the whole thing and I have to say that I was impressed.
That is one of her best CDLs and there are many performances that her vocals are GREAT (at least on the DVD). I LOVED acoustic Virgin Road, Marionette, ballads medley, SEVEN DAYS WAR, Free & Easy, Duty and Endless sorrow the best!!

So I was really excited and downloaded it, but I just didn't like it at all. And I know why: it's because of her dancers. 75% of the time the camera was focused on her freaking dancers. Either that, or every time they would try to show Ayu, the dancers would be blocking her! I'm not watching this to see her dancers flail, I'm watching this to see Ayu sing. Oh well.

this was an AMAZING concert. i actualyl didnt think a central stage would turn out this well but it feels so open and free. I love the scenes with her and the audience behind. It was just stunning. Ayu totally had a new presence in this presentation. And when she rocked, it just totally felt like a rock arena..amazing!
Im gonna watch it again. the blu-ray quality is just too amazing and everything sounds awesome. I didnt watch the TV version so I wont judge.

Sometimes i get a litle irritated because of the bright light because I watched the concert in darkness so...LOL..it was JARRINGGG..omg

One thing I adored was the lighting. It was really awesome and how they played around with all the effects.

My favourite performances....hmmm...is this Love?, Marionette (those flying stuntmen are AWESOME), Endless Sorrow (so worried she would get giddy), the ballad medley, MW (mad laser fair..i was thinking I was gonna get a seizure), SDW, Dream ON, Love song, Virgin Road, MOON...

and aww its too bad HOTEL Love songs was 'cencelled'...i so wanna see how this connects

I finally got my blu ray copy of it from CDJapan Honestly, I felt her dancers got less focus then usual in this CDL. It's about bloody time, as well. I'm probably the only person who just rolls their eyes whenever Shuya comes out to do his obligatory contemporary dance moment. But overall I felt her dancers didn't get much focus until the last set of songs on the main setlist and the encore.

First of all, my good thoughts on it:

--I was genuinely impressed with the setlist. I felt it was a good balance between her old and new material.

--The ballads. More specifically the medley. It was just beautiful. The fact that there was virtually nothing else except Ayu on stage singing them and no theatrics (except for the one woman holding the ball. But that didn't distract me at all from Ayu) just made it all the better. I would like to see more medley's like this in future tours and CDLs

--Nearly everything after the ballads was just Ayu having an insanely energetic performance (without any "cute" parts. Thank god) and she was completely into it. Honestly; she sang the HELL out of the last set of songs!

--Overall out of the CDLs I've seen (which isn't many. Although, I have seen all of her tours Just not all of her CDLs) I think this one is easily one of best she's put on. There was more focus on Ayu and it had a great setlist which lived up to my expectations.

The bad:

--Seriously Ayu; Last angel is one of my favourite songs on Love songs. But please stop singing it live. It was diabolical in 2010's Rock 'n' Roll Circus 7 days special and it was still diabolical in this CDL (although it was only A SMALL bit better)

--No Like a doll?

--Dream ON.

Honestly, I don't think the TV version of the CDL was that bad. Of course, her live performance is not nearly as good as how she performs in the studio. But it wasn't THAT bad. Vocally, the second part of the concert was WAY better. But again, you can't expect someone to sing a song perfectly with a hard choreography and jumping all around the stage.
But yeah, it's always better to listen/watch the edited releases. As for bad performances, the one I disliked the most would be untitled ~for her~ from CDL 07-08. The edited version was awesome and emotional though
