Best period in GACKT's career?

I hope the way I organized this is okay.

As for my choices, I believe GACKT was at his peak at the beginning of his career. I adore his work on merveilles, mainly for the variety, and creativity. Musically-wise, MARS has always been my favourite, as well as the single seki-ray, which in my book is the best song he's ever put out.

Every year there's one song of his that captures my attention like no other, Fragrance in 2002, Birdcage in 2003, LONGING in 2006, the underrated No ni Saku Hana no Yō ni in 2007, LOST ANGELS in 2009, but when I listen to their respective albums, I see something that makes me think "this album would feel complete without that song".

Vocally-wise, I think The Sixth Day & Seventh Night tour performances are some of his strongest.

What are your thoughts?

I chose all his style has changed but that what I really like about him..every once and a while you can hear a hint of his older songs in some of his newer stuff. I like that he stays true to himself as for vocals I agree about the 6th day 7th night tour. Last song left me speechless! I would have to say that my favorite album is crescent, but I do love mars! It's so hard to decide XD though my current favorite is 雪月花 -The end of silence-. wow I just changed my mind 3 times >.>

I personally think all of his eras are great. He never fails to deliver for me. but his best era imo was definitely MARS.
One of the best albums I've ever heard.

I'm not really sure but I think vocal-wise it would be stuff before and including Love Letter...maybe a bit of Diabolos. I loved his voice being so interesting and unprofesional. His creativity as a composer's is the same though. I love all of his albums

I discovered Gackt at the end of 2005 but it was through Malice Mizer. I've always dearly loved Rebirth and Crescent, but his best era (or rather string of eras) is from MARS' release to the release of LOVE LETTER.
