I wonder if the whole album will be taking a more uptempo route this time, that would be cool. There's been a lot of ballads and slower songs from her lately. Not that I will complain if there will be more if they're innovative enough, but I'd like something energetic from her again.

Just not in the new genre kind of way like ANother song. More like a song that's sooo good you wouldn't dare compare it to anything else.

That would be hard since she's done almost every type of song there is. Plus no matter what she does, fans will find a way to compare =/ Oh, well, as long as it's good I don't care what it sounds like.

What I meant was if the song had certain elements of each of those songs it would be amazing. Identity's fierce sassiness, Sparkle's innovation, and Lady D's fun atmosphere. Something like that, not that the song sounds like a mash up of the three musically.

im actually hoping for a song with marching band sounds/beats coz im a sucker for that >.<
i mean of coz, at long as it sounds good, im fine

this time when i get my album, i may listen from the last song upwards...i feel like the first few songs always grab the attention and i neglect the other songs >.< (wonder if that defeats the purpose of the flow lol)

I wouldn't mind that if it were new. I don't want it to remind me of those songs, because from my perspective, they are too upbeat and heavy to work together. Sassiness, innovation and a fun atmosphere--yes, as long as it doesn't combine too many different elements to the point of being too much.

I find it a cool idea to mix several music styles into one song but if it becomes like Free & Easy then it's a nogo for me. In my opinion Free & Easy goes from soft and nice to HARSH, TOO LOUD etc. and then to super awesome. It felt like it contained 'different elements' too.

^ It took me a long time to get us to Free & Easy. Because there was nothing easy about it once the chorus kicked in lol. With all the teasers and information coming in, I'm trying to stay calm. I really don't want to get worked up about this album. Not due to disappointment or the sorts, but just because I can NOT stand to wait... Honestly, I might abandon this thread and future threads until the title, tracklist, covers and previews are out and it's two weeks before the release date.

im gunna get shot for this but i wouldnt mind an album filled with pure ballads all epic and sad a la BALLAD and VR XP hehe but wtv i get i will be happy with that's what i love about ayu

Of course she doesn't have to go to a totally new genre or stray away from who she is, I just seriously hope her discography doesn't cover every possible thing there is to do with music lol

She pretty much always does something new and innovative though so I don't think there's anythin "broke" to be fixed either, but I thought FIVE was a bit lacking arrangement-wise so I hope this album shines there. Genre doesn't matter.
