I have something minor to say: From people's comments I expected everything pre-FIVE to be SD-upscales but it turns out at least some PVs are 720p upscales. GREEN definitely is. The Love Songs PVs SEEM to be as well, though it's not as obvious because of their grainy quality.
When watching on a 1920x1080 screen it may appear to be SD-upscales as well but when scaled to 720p on a screen that cannot present anything higher definition it's clear that they were not originally SD but at least 720p. I tried both for a few PVs that seemed a bit clearer to check. The level of detail when scaled to 1280x720 is not possible from SD-upscales.

I just finished watching the rest of the PVs last night. It was an interesting journey, but I don't think I'll watch it in one go anymore, my heavens it starts to get boring, so next time I'll just watch selected stuff (by the way, Dream ON is so annoying, both song and PV).

i agree about Dream On, she shouldn't do anymore R&B/Urban stuffs, i mean after the disastrous Bold & Delicious, Dream On and Another Song, i just can't take it anymore ><

Really? I thought Dream On and ANother Song are some of her best tracks lately. Bold & Delicious is a different matter.... ugh.

Bold & Delicious is in my top10 Ayumi tracks, easily. It's really catchy and a song that doesn't just stand out in her discography but in the whole pop business.
And Dream ON and ANother song were a nice change for me, better than having filler winterballads like meaning of love on RnRC. Which wasn't a bad song but we had soooooo many songs like that. I like it when Ayu ventures into other genres, I prefer her doing it alone but I did enjoy her recent collabs.

And let's not forget In The Corner, Pride, Real Me, kanariya...all RnB influences and I don't really see much hate for those tracks at all.

There's not really much left to discuss about I think, which you can see in the posts above me, where people go all off-topic.

To stay on topic, I think that Mirrorcle World looks AMAZING! M on the other hand looks just like the SD version, not spectacular in terms of quality. I was planning on screen-capping a lot of those HD videos but the quality is meh.

I was wondering: so out of the 100 or so videos that are in the box, less than 10 of them are actually in HD (either 720 or 1080)?

The FIVE PVs all seem to be 1080i to me(with parts of progress being filmed in 720p/possibly an effect of the editing process) and I haven't watched all of them but it appears that from NEXT LEVEL on(or earlier?) the PVs are 720p upscaled to 1080i. So it's more than 10, around 20-25 maybe. But as I said, I haven't watched all of them yet, my internet isn't very fast so I was only able to download a few PVs so far.

Ah. I wonder why Avex even bothered with a blu-ray version then if most of the content is SD. The cost to upscale, filter, and remaster the videos to the format doesn't seem to be worth it.

(Though I guess they can also use the new masters for broadcasting, but still... )

As far as I know the bluray version is only slightly more expensive than the DVD version so I see this as being a collection of all of Ayumi's PVs in one neat box rather than a quality thing. It's like A COMPLETE - PV version - to me haha
And putting them on bluray enables them to use less discs and have higher audio quality on all the videos (The audio quality is definitely improved compared to some DVD-versions! Even in pre-HD videos, and the colours seem to be a bit better in some, I'm not sure if that's a quality thing or just filters applied to them)
And I doubt they had much cost to upscale and master the videos, it would have been costy had they taken from the original sources but it seems they didn't (many are probably not even kept anymore, anyways)

i can confirm to you that all the PV (poker face to pre-Five period) on the BR are upscaled. But they did use good source for the upscale so they look pretty good.

guys, are you going to keep the bag with the box inside the original wrap?I'm refering to this:

I put the box inside the bag without any wrap only using a bit of bubble wrap inside
I broke the wrap that comes with the box but i still preserving the original BIG wrap

Definitely! Although the wraps were a bit of crumpled state no matter how much care I took when taking them out for the 1st time =.="
Good thing is, I've got 1 more set coming from YA with the lifestyle book ^^ So I can use this set as a spare and watch it frequently =)

I'm surprised that no type of cm has emerged, not even a mu-mo one like ayu-mi-x 7 got but I recon Dream ON PV should of been her special Duty PV instead but my HK ver. finally ready to be shipped, which means it should arrive on my birthday (or a day after) dont really care for the blu-ray craze, DVD is good enough for me (Ill also post pictures of the HK ver too if none have emerged by then for caparison to the JP DVD ver)
