INSPIRE is Thai inspired more than anything. Brillante is confusing because of its drums but the strings and creepy choir are not common to anything Middles Eastern. The Zither in Don't look back is more Indian than Arabic, however the violin-like parts are reminiscent of arabic music so that's probably the closest to a 'Middle Eastern' song she has come.

It takes more than black eyeliner and baggy pants to make a song "Middle East" inspired. With that said, I hope she does something post apocalyptic in the desert like in Kazeyomi's post.
i don't know if anyone else will agree with me
but i think the closest ayu song to middle east is ourselves
the music, beat and the way how ayu sang in ourselves is so similar to middle east

hahahaha I can see what you mean.

I agree though I think that the bridge instrumental in Don't look back and ourselves instrumental between chorus and verses are her most middle eastern sounds others (and all of kuu's songs) are mainly indian sounding.

i think kuu case is similar to "don't look back"
her supposed to be middle eastern songs are mostly played by Indian instruments but her song does have middle east influence somehow, don't you think?
i agree with what Yumsushi said people including Japanese artists always seems confusing the Middle East with India and other Southeast Asia

In kuu's case I think that the closest would be Get It On and amai wana since others have obvious indian sounds but I might be wrong haha.
