I hated on this broad for so long! But I can't help but start to like her. Roman Holiday, Super Bass, Roman's Revenge (minus that waste of a life eminem), her newest Starships, Moment 4 life, Roman in Moscow (which I am very excited to hear the studio version), etc. Can't wait for the album release in April!

I don't really care for most of Nicki Minaj's work, but I looove Super Bass. My sister used to be obsessed with Nicki; posters of her covered her wall and she called every local Target to find out which one had the Deluxe Edition of Pink Friday the day it came out. But then Nicki became overexposed and neither of us really like her anymore. It's kind of sad when that happens to artists.

This exact thing happened to me with Lady Gaga. I've stopped listening to the radio regularly, and watching music shows, so I can enjoy singers on my "own terms".

no one does alter-egos like her, anyway I think Nicki always wanted to be a pop artist, so I am not mad she does pop since it makes her more diverse

I think I remember reading somewhere that Nicki created her alter egos to escape her real life, which included an abusive father. In that context it makes sense, but she's probably over-doing it because its trendy.

And talking about Nicki doing pop, I think she is doing more pop now because of the success of Super Bass, that song was very pop and people liked it, I'm sure she'll be doing more pop as long as it works in her favor.

And her weird acting is cutting it short I think. Gaga started it in 2009 or 2008 and people are getting bored of it all already. Artists need to move onto something else lol Maybe simplicity is next? Who knows!
