I'm looking for a good quality MP3 player which I can save many songs in.
So I need your help.
Can you guys recommend a good MP3 player to me. An affordable one please.
By the way I live in Canada. Thanks.

I've been using an Archos Jukebox 5GB MP3 player for a few years now and it still works fine. While I did get a 20GB MP3 player a year later, the price for the 5GB one was about $200. I assume that by now, perhaps it's dropped to $150 or so. If you're looking for a player that can store thousands of files and isn't all too expensive, you can try that. Or.. if you prefer to use your existing CDs, you can try an MP3 CD player for as low as $30. With that, you can store hundreds of songs on 1 standard CD, and certain MP3 players allow you to see ID3 tags.

It really depends on your price budget (I don't know what is your definition of affordable) and how much you want to listen to at a time. Usually i'd avoid MP3 altogether as it isn't my preferred listening format, as i tend to listen to cds recorded onto minidisc, but i eventually got one since it's small and doubles as a portable storage medium.

However, a few suggestions for you...

no price limit, want to listen to many songs -

iRiver iHP-100 20GB - retails at about 255GBP/634.71CAD over here
(40GB Version - 339 GBP/843.78CAD)
PC Pro Review

tight price budget, want to listen to a select amount -

iRiver iFP-300 128MB - retails at around 109GBP/271.33CAD over here
PC Pro Review

The site/magazine that I read regularly did an intensive lab on these mp3 players, from the likes of the iRiver models I mentioned, comparing them to the likes of the iPod and even Bang & Olufsen's model. I think you might find it quite useful if you're still searching for one.

PC Pro - MP3 Labs Test

Hope this helps .

EDIT: Since you reside in Canada, so I added the CAD equivalents.

WeWa isn't an unknown brand, it's one of the main ones in Hong Kong. There have been reports of them being unreliable, but I haven't used one myself yet.

Thank you, you guys. You're all a great help. Now I just need to find a store where I can compare prices then I will be able to decide which one to buy. Thanks again.
