Let's just say that she's putting up a front with this album cover. A very fanbase-dividing front.

I would love it to detect that symbolism she's hinting at but... No, I guess I'm too shallow to see that.

I still don't feel this works for a cover, though. The booklet, sure, you can see the slow unravelling of the Queen, from her finery and outward appearance to an inner turmoil and dissection to a crumpled, lonely wreck.

Honestly, it probably makes more sense when you actually have the album. She seems to have hinted that when we get it, it'll make sense.

The covers are what you see first and I admit, they are shocking if you weren't ready for them, but they probably make more sense in the context of the album as a whole.

Since the aim was to parody a tabloid magazine, I don't think it would have the same effect she wanted.

A part of me hopes so, but another part screams "NO!" because I'm not in for another ballade album, I really miss her rock inspired style.

honestly, more than the doggy style pose i'm upset that we got covers from a photoshoot we had already seen. i was expecting something totally new.
