Ok, talking about the arm, people. There is a possibility that her arm is behind the table's arm and makes this look like photoshopped.

I don't understand why people believe that cover is photoshopped but not because of the angle of the picture? So every cover is going to be photoshopped. I see. kthxbye.

very disappointing that i misinterpretated her tweet as having pink hair for the covers. that hair on the covers is butt-ugly though, she looks like someone applied wet hair gel on her hair and combed it back

Feminism won't be needed anymore because we'll be equal, which is what feminism was all about!

OH, NOW I GOT THE ARM THING! Her arm is BEHIND the table's foot (I'm calling it table because I don't really know what that is) and her head and because of the angle the picture was taken it looks like it's gone... It's still strange though xD

This is my first actual post here (I think?), but I just had something I wanted to say

Speculation is fine, but I think some of us should reserve our judgement until at least the PVs come out. Remember Ladies' Night? It's an upbeat dance song that starts off with Ayu wearing something a little different and skimpy (at least more than what we were used to), and without knowing Japanese or having the english translated lyrics, it just sounded like a fun song. Then throughout the PV there is a bit of dark imagery, some foreshadowing, and actually the song is about something much much more than having fun with some girlfriends. I think Party Queen could go down the same road.

Ayu's had no problems getting the point across for 14 albums, 50 singles and nearly 14 years under avex. I really don't see why this one was so off the mark to her audience.

I would say that with her track record of 50 singles and 15[?] albums, there's probably a reason why it's so out there this time around. It doesn't seem to be because she wants to be 'random and fun' if she's hinting at a deeper meaning. I know what she said the meaning was is not obvious at all but it seems like that's her point. If the covers were a bit less thrown together-looking and a bit more of a tasteful pose chosen for the CD+2DVD, I think people would have way less problems with these covers. While the covers are very much NOT Ayu, her having a reason behind them is.

I don't think anyone knows for sure what she's getting at with these covers but I think it will become clear when the CD actually comes out.

*facepalm* I'm just sharing my findings from my friends/co-workers who are Japanese. I don't see the harm in that. And for the record there are Japanese people (once again according to my co-workers ) who don't favor a certain Japanese celebrity and still bash them whenever their name comes up in the media because they have nothing better to do. Just because you don't witness it does not mean it does not happen. [insert-commonsense]

I work in NY and I have a few Japanese co-workers who are fans of ayu and occasionally they go on Japanese news sites, blogs, and forums and they share bits of info with us in the office who are interested about various topics relating to Japan. And when Ayu's covers came out, according to them many fans were up in arms and we casually discussed the topic of sexual imagery during our lunch break. I've never been a huge follower of ayu so I was not overly shocked when I saw the covers but just hearing my Japanese co-workers translate some of the responses from folks back in Japan made me and a few others chuckle.

ABC just finished their version of Kuu's 12 single project and are at their highest peak, Ayu has zero tie-ins that are big and only got her fanbase for this release

The album title is supposed to be a bit of a "magazine title" (though horribly done) and there's a sticker where there'd normally be a "SCOOP: AYU DIVORCES HER HUSBAND" or something like that on top of a barcade where magazines normally have barcodes.
