isn't it kinda stupid for avex to schedule their CD on the date of another competitors?

i don't study marketing or business, but i mean, wouldn't it affect their business and sales? i would think it would be better to choose another date

well there's always going to be competition, it's not like only one person releases each week.
the concert dvd is 6000 yen.

it's not bad marketing, it's taking a chance. Besides, DVD is different from a single, and they won't even be ranked the same on sites like Oricon, because they are TWO DIFFERENT THINGS! So, I don't know if it's bad marketing, or anything, by the same write, i think avex is just trying to divert buyers away from Hikki towards Ayu. Put it this way...if Ayu releases first, then she maybe get a lot of people buying her single (who am i kidding..."maybe" is not the word), but then people can still 'save' money to buy the DVD. If she releases it after, then they may not have enough left to budget since the DVD is more expensive, leaving them with not enough money to spend at the minute. If they release them on the same day, then the DVD may not get purchased as much, since it is more expensive. That is, of course, only one way of looking at it, and there are millions of cases for every individual person.

I remember how so many people disliked Memorial Address when it was revealed to have 8 tracks, but once people saw the cover and heard the new songs, most changed their thoughts about the mini-album. I'm pretty sure that once the PV is released, people may not care about the DVD only having 1 PV

You haven't even heard the full version of Game, or any part of the Inspire song to really say that. For all we know, Inspire can be one of her greatest songs ever, hence why we all need to have a bit of patience.

LOL! The same usually happens with other releases which people initially dislike, so I don't think this dislike for the new single will last for long, esp. once some sort of cover image/song sample is released

I am happy that the single has a one PV DVD.... it could just be released as a pure single - and no DVD... by having a PV DVD added you can easily complete all Ayu PVs on DVD (by buying Complete Clip Box, Memorial address, Moments and INSPIRE). I sure hope that all her new singles will be released with a DVD I LOVE DVDs! I just can't wait for the overseas version to be released so I can finally order it

No matter im sure someone will post the DVD portion of this album when it comes out...like moments(thank you for that).

they will make up the small loss in profit when they release a full album + DVD. now that id be glad to spend cash on.
