A fake Jay Chou managed to get Twitter to verify his account, "hooked" Jeremy Lin

28 March: Now many celebs like to use microblogs but a small minority of celebs are adamant about not using them. Lately, a fake "Jay Chou" managed to get his Twitter account verified, attracting 20,000 fans to follow him. This Twitter account has regular posts and even tried getting other verified accounts such as Jeremy Lin's to 'converse' with him.

2 days ago, Jay Chou's company JVR Music announced that Jay Chou does not use social media and doesn't have a Twitter, imploring fans not to be fooled. "This Twitter account does not belong to Jay Chou and isn't company-approved. We will request that Twitter removes the fake user's verified status, and we ask fans to go to JVR's official website for accurate information on Jay."
