Yeah, the cover is trash and the songs arent as bad a people say they are.

One can say that the album is complete trash, but one can't say that it's a flop. Must be due to Hikki's popularity in Japan.

Considering The Album "This Is The One" is the highest charting Album on American iTunes by a Japanese/American artist (I believe it reached #19), and was recognized for it, it was indeed not made for nothing and yet another touchstone in History set yet again by Utada.

Changing the subject, I think that TiTO wasn't really succesful because of both the promotion and Hikki herself.

To be succesful in the US you need to work your ass off, so you really need to promote yourself everywhere and, in the beginning, Hikki was doing great but then she got lazy hahahaha

That's what artists do here. That's how this industry works...it's not like Japan where you just front load everything.

If she REALLY cared about making it here...she would have had western people around her who knew that.

You know I find this hilarious because it is so true and so me. Lmfao.

Anyway, I just have very strong opinions. I am extremely passionate about music. The music I love, I freaking love - I listen to the layers, I analyze it, I feel it, and when called for I dance to it - always plucking out the subtleties and bringing them to the foreground. But, when I hate something, boy do I freaking HATE it. I will go on, AND ON, about how it's so terrible. I'm that way with everything I hate actually. Example:

Friend: "I like mushrooms."
Me: "OH MY GOD, YUCK!"

Friend: "I like (insert song)."
Me: "OH MY GOD I HATE IT! The melody is terrible! The chorus doesn't fully kick in, it's garbage!"

BUT I feel for utada she always goes for short easy with her hair after that long growing period when she looked so good. I just hope to see her produce some quality stuff eventually... :c
