Girls' Generation Will Not Hold Korean Promotions This Year

Girls' Generation will not be promoting in Korea this year, marking the group's first year without a Korean release since their debut.

According to a source for Sports Seoul, Girls' Generation had originally planned on making a Korean comeback at the end of October or the beginning of November; however, they will no longer try to release new Korean music this year.

"They're already late for their target comeback, and when they make their comeback, they want the music to be perfect, so won't be rushing to make a comeback this year," the source stated.

While they may not have released new Korean music this year, Girls' Generation has been busy with international promotions instead. At the start of the year, the group promoted "The Boys" in the United States. The girls then had a string of Japanese singles, leading up to the release of their 2nd Japanese album "GIRLS' GENERATION II ~Girls & Peace~" on November 28th.

Although I was looking forward to a Korean release from them this year, I'm happy that they decided to delay it rather than rush a comeback for the sole purpose of having an album release this year. I think it's more important that they focus on quality and I'm sure their Japanese album promotions and preparing for their Japanese tour will be enough of a workload on them already for the rest of their year.

I agree. We got TaeTiSeo's mini album, 2 Japanese singles, and an upcoming Japanese single and album this year. I wouldn't mind if they released heir 2nd Asia Tour on DVD this year though to make up for not having a Korean album.

I kinda hope this foreshadows maybe their English album getting released. IDC if it's promoted or not, it would sell in korea and japan pretty well alone. I just want something to get my friends addicted to so they can sing along.

Priscilla Renea had some quite relevant background to, like Chris Brown's "Don't Wake Me Up", Rihanna's "California King Bed", Cheryl Cole "Promise This", etc. I think this will be a dance track.
