I appreciated the considerable differences between GGGB, Rated R, and Loud and really liked those three albums and even when TTT came out, although I liked only 2 or 3 songs, it was cool that she was doing something different. Since the dance shift pop has taken hip hop is no longer ubiquitous so she was doing something different than the lot; that fabulous hard gangstress persona thing... whatever. Ironically enough, her only two arguable "hits" from that album were both dance tracks.
I really liked Diamonds, and it's such a huge departure for her, so when I heard the 1:30 previews for the rest of Unapologetic I was like... this is just leftover tracks from TTT. This makes two albums in a row where, apparently, they're trying to sell the whole thing from just one strong track (WFL, Diamonds).
Whenever an album or single isn't up to their criteria people usually like to call it "rushed," but I don't know what else to call this... I mean, in the spring she said she wasn't planning on an album for 2012.
So yeah I don't plan on buying Unapologetic, or listening to it.
