i think kara may have ranked so high because they seem to have had a lot of controversy with their korean label? that's why they were releasing stuff in japan only for a while. they do have some korean stuff out now, though 2012 was when they flooded japan with tons of stuff.

On January 2011, it was stated that four KARA members (all minus Gyuri) filled a lawsuit to terminate their exclusive contracts with DSP Entertainment. However, it was later revealed that Hara decided not to join Seung Yeon, Nicole and Ji Young in terminating her contract. Due the conflict DSP Entertainment suspended any Korean group activities as they declared they will no longer be managing the three members. On the following days reports about the five members and DSP Entertainment meetings surfaced, however the company has not yet released an official statement about a possible agreement.

Is KARA only K-Pop group on the list? If that's so then I'm proud as a K-Pop fan. I don't listen to their music but it's awesome anyway.

Nope, Shoujo Jidai (snsd) is #4 on the list, tohoshinki is somehwhere in top 20 as well

AKB is something most people get only when they go to Japan because they're literally everywhere. (I still don't get it and I don't think I ever will) Most people who go to Japan and hate AKB48 may end up even liking them after staying in Tokyo for a while.

I have a friend who went over there and she didnt really care for AKB and now, being there for a few months she goes and sings karaoke to them every other night... lol.
Its like you cant get away from it, so you start liking it because its there.
