'again' mini album out December 8th, 2nd of five 15th anniversary releases [III]

HAPPY ENDING is pretty much both for me mostly because of the 'creepy' feel of the performance and how the song is kind of empty feeling but the sense of longing in the chorus makes me think of it as ~nostalgic~.

Not saying much when NEXT LEVEL was a effin' snoozefest

NEXT LEVEL was a lot of things (including divisive) but it was not a snoozefest. There were maybe one or two snoozey tracks but the rest was quite the trip imo.

HAPPY ENDING is very dark/nostalgic imo, since Sweet Scar is sweet/nostalgic.

I picture HAPPY ENDING with dark brown colors or greys, since Sweet Scar reminds me of of pastel pink.

I can't compare them, but they are in the same box I think (with HANABI, ever free, winding road, maybe BRILLANTE) - slow songs that are not powerful/chessy j-pop ballads. This box don't include slow rock-influenced songs (with guitars or edgier sound, like HOPE or PAIN, GUILTY, count down, criminal etc.) They have lighter, calmer arragments and mostly a little electronic.

I really love HAPPY ENDING, it is very nostalgic. I'd describe Liar as the haunting one. I love that whole little section on MY STORY of HAPPY ENDING, HOPE or PAIN and Liar, they're all very emotive, but not over dramatic or theatrical. They feel very... human I guess? I like HOPE or PAIN a lot, it really does feel like a mix of hope and pain.

I think Sweet Scar has that same subtlety to it, but it lacks something that the 3 MY STORY tracks have. Can't really put my finger on it.

But I was speaking from the fact that the work "haunting" was used to describe Sweet scar and HAPPY ENDING is much more haunting. And a better song at that too.

If you were around for its release or listened to it years ago. There are some tracks from the past that are still rather new to me and don't give my any sense of nostalgia (too late, End roll, Naturally, And Then, and so on) because I did not really pay attention to them until recently.

I don't agree. When something makes me feel nostalgic it makes me look back on my own experiences and relate them to the feelings in the song, not just because the song is old.

I get nostalgic when something reminds me of the last. Even a new song can do that.
I listened to happy ending once and I was like 'damn, the song is nostalgic'

Well my own experiences are "I remember when I experienced listening to this song in 2004"

But if you are speaking mostly in lyrical content, fairyland is the most nostalgic as far as lyrics go.

it's not that it's released on 8th but the fact that albums Will leak. It's unusual for this late a leak lol. And I think if it's on sale today, shouldn't we have photos of the CD on racks? Always happens...

And about Avex not putting effort, the Paris thing was just some trip to me. But u can deny that this mini has the lack of billboards and CM even up till this date. It's unusual...
