To be honest I expected hate from the Vkei fans with Pink Spider, because 'Pink Spider' was the first single released in the same month after Hide committed suicide, and was extremely popular because of it. I read that many fans believe that Hide was referring to himself as the 'Pink Spider' since his hair was always pink, and believe the lyrics were his suicide note before he committed suicide. (And looking at the English lyrics I can see why, especially with 'A pink spider flows across the sky' at the end). So it's quite a personal song for Hide fans, especially considering that after his death, 3 fans did copycat suicides, and apparently out of the 50k that went to his funeral, 60 were hospitalized and 200 received treatment in first aid tents. So given that the song is believed to have such a strong meaning (relating to his suicide), I can understand their dislike for Kuu's electro pop version with scantily clad prostitutes. XD Some probably feel her version is very disrespectful to the original meaning of the song and don't like it being used in a sexual way. (some who believe the lyrics are his suicide note probably find it being used in a sexual way disrespectful, maybe.)

I don't because I don't think Kuu would do anything deliberate to cause disrespect to such a famous artist who is still very much in everyone's hearts. I think Kuu (and vaguely remember her saying) does covers out of respect for that artist, which is why she covered Misono's song for her birthday. I personally like Kuu's version, but not being a fan of Hide I don't have that personal attachment many other fans probably do. So while I love kuu's version and see no deliberate disrespect from her part, I can understand why Hide fans may not be happy considering the believed meaning of the original lyrics.

As for the whole kyary x lovely thing...That just seems like a load of petty crap to me.
I really want to see both 'Pink Spider' PV and 'Shake Hip'! I'm downloading all 3 PVs in HD when they're out.

When Kuu is cute, she is adorable, i lover her in Love Technique, Koi no Tsubomi, and even in Suki dex3 she is so KAWAII.
And c'mon, she isn't copying Kyary, that's ridiculous !! Kyary is a weird and cute girl with electronics songs

imo, her best ballads are on Feel My Mind. After all, my favorite song by Kuu is Gentle Words and its pretty much tied for that place with Hana. I love that whole album, really.

I really don't want a album with only upbeat stuff in it. Like with BoA's US album, gosh I got to tired when it was just upbeat from start until the end so no. Ballads are definitely needed, and because Kuu loves to sing those, and I adore them all, I hope she would have at least 2 ballads on Color The Cover. :p

A ballad or two would be nice, to be honest. ^^ I hope they are very melodic ballads though, instead of generic pop ones.

On February 27, the "Color The Cover" album will be released by artist Koda Kumi, covering songs such as "Blue Velvet" by Shizuka Kudo. In the program, Kumi will sing "Shake Hip!", which is also on the cover album♡

"She has a very husky voice compared to me, which made it a fun collaboration," said Shizuka Kudo.

Alone is a beautiful ballad and it's in the middle of the album
Uta wa waga inochi is the bonus track and it's as powerful as Sayonara no mukougawa
I think these will be the only ballads on the album
