I think her post-breakdown albums are better than her pre-breakdown ones minus "In The Zone" (Blackout tops it though).

Post is better than pre.... though Circus is crap and ITZ is awesome

It doesn't really matter, since she's not all that involved in her music, less so now than before she went nuts. Her sanity isn't really relevant to the quality of her music.

In The Zone and Blackout were her peak in my opinion, but all her releases have been solid.

As long as she has her producers, nothing can go wrong.

Well she was most involved in ITZ and Blackout, and those two are her best.

Most being the keyword. Co-wrote one song and was one of many producers on Blackout. I love Britney to death, but let's be honest. She's not exactly in tight control of her career.

She really doesn't need anything more than Bloodshy & Avant to slay the charts

I think that she's much more involved/in control than some people (Namie for example). But lately that's not the case. Femme Fatale was just britney going into the studio and singing other people's ****. At least she didnt scam for writing credits like someone I know...

Britney has never been as involved as she could be. She's always been considered the epitome of manufactured pop music. While I do think people are harsh on her, I don't deny that there is some truth.

She has always been more famous for recognizing a hit while picking tracks than to be activelly envolved with producing her music... And that's fine, that's why people work as songwriters and at least she is not releasing crappy music with her name just for the sake of being more "artistic"... And her music actually IS superior compared to most of her competition's.

I love Britney precisely because of this: she doesn't push it. Her music always more or less represents her, but she would never go all artistic, 'cause it'd be ridicolous. And that's why her music works.

That duo produced one good, really successful song and everything else has been complete and utter ****. Talk about over-rated.

Even if it IS subjective, there are 2 things that IMO are good signals that her material is superior: Better reaction from music critics AND they tend to become classics.

Ke$ha, Katy Perry, P!nk, and Kelly Clarkson have been making very good music, even with the same producers (and Ke$ha worked with different people for Warrior so you can sit down). It's really nothing but opinion. But please don't go around saying that they haven't been making ~good~ music. It's not trash and awful.
