I know it's a children's song.
But I was just comparing it to the level of maturity in kyary's songs or something like that. At least the kuma song is cute. Mi or ponponpon are just annoying and kyary's voice is hard to swallow. Kuma borders on childish bad.

Looking back, I think Utada did the right thing retiring early. Now she can go in the studio when inspiration hits and doesnt have to force out albums that arent her best. I mean everyone loves take 5 so much because it was technically Ultra Blue material...

Im glad she didnt totally dry herself out like some of the present artists we know on the market currently.

Pretty sure hikki isnt gonna return for a major comeback at 33. I mean I can hope but. SO HIATUS or RETIRE, withdrawl, retreat, recede. She aint doing much music stuff at the moment.

I think the term "hiatus" offers a glimmer of hope in that, it's possible she may return one day in the future. Like she's just taking a break for an undetermined amount of time. "Retire" sounds more permanent like "ain't no chance in hell I'm coming back." One also allows for wishful thinking.

She SAID she was going on hiatus and she SAID her career wasn't over, but that she wasn't going to release music for the next years. As I said, people don't know what they are talking about and start being overly creative.

I really hope she returns soon, she turned me from fan-to-stan with Sakura Nagashi, that is seriously one of the best ballads in her whole discography. Not to mention how well it compliments Evangelion, my favorite Anime <3
If her next album will be on the same level i won't be worthy.

When the girl (or boy) said 'retirement" he meant hiatus...

there are other forums with a hikki thread, like jpop central. that forum's hikki thread is hardly visited (especially in comparison to this one). when it IS visited, i always think something happened.... hopes of a desperate fan.
