Kinda late to share a opinion, but FEEL it's definitely better than Uncontrolled, tbh it wouldn't be that difficult after the mess that album was.

It's definitely mainstream and I feel that soon it will be forgotten, the kind of sound that will be replaced nearly by something very similar and so on...
I'm really sad with this new path that she choosed... but oh well, it's bringing her success, so I can't really blame her for this...
I miss the original and Namie style of music, the things that she used to create and were unique and make me feel that nobody except her could sing them. I think P<F was the last movement...

Well, enough of this, Hands on Me, Alive, Supernatural Love and LaLaLa stands out, specially the last one, I really like how the music goes on. It could be sang by many mainstream singers but it's still good.

Heaven is a mess in the end and Let Me Let You Go it's beautiful, but geez, it seems that her voice is horrible on it, I don't know what they did or probably, didn't do.

And the PVs, Alive is really something. I love it.

Preach! This is exactly how I feel after a gazillion listens. We know Namie's always been influenced by Western music, but now it seems she's actually grasped it. I think it's very conflicting for fans, especially those of us that fell in love with her music for that hip hop/pop hybrid she developed and pretty much perfected with Past<Future. Receiving Uncontrolled after that was kinda disappointing and now I think FEEL is a bit 'tarred with the same brush' for me as well, even though I think the production of the album is absolutely gorgeous.

It just doesn't feel like Namie anymore. I'm all for changes in music direction, but hers is just so...radical! She went from bad ass to generic pop singer essentially over a few years...

I think it is actually to sustain her popularity, and that is completely understandable. If you release same-ish music all the time, people will expect it and become bored. Pop is forever changing and it is hard to keep up with and I praise her for being able to vision the 'in' of now.

But as Jyujiw mentioned, it ages very, very quickly...

I thnk in the long run, her popularity may fare better if she continued with her own STYLE (hehe). Only 'cause you're recognizable then always, even if you're not popular (which, as we know from the Empress is definitely true), at least your ongoing fans will still attend your concerts, haha.

I enjoy FEEL immensely, but I also understand where people are coming from when they say it doesn't feel like a Namie album anymore. Although I love how confidently she took on a full EDM, English album, I also hope that her next one has one or two songs at least that are QoHP or Play inspired.

I rather she did something different than always going for her trademark Hip-Pop. Her Nao'ymt songs started to sound similar and uninspiring.

I agree ! As much as I love her usual tracks and samples, I rearry enjoy FEEL because it's just what I wanted to listen to. It is true, I may not have listened to it if it were anybody else's album, but I'm still glad that she changed !

I've been listening to FEEL all day and it's FINALLY clicking with me. However I must admit that Supernatural Love & BBC are still my least liked tracks, but I don't dislike em as much as I used to.

How does her vocals compare to Think of Me? To me, that's the one song I can't stand her vocals on. (The Love Enhanced version makes such a difference)

I hardly listen to Madonna (and only listen to Bedtime Story, and let's not lie, that's actually a Bjork song). However, I would never choose Madonna over this album. In fact, I would never choose Madonna over Namie.
