i am french and some comments make me laugh
anyway,
lorie is a singer for children (for girls), ALL her fans have between 6-12 years old
lorie has not a great voice and she is very immature for her age (22).
her lyrics are really simple

in french : en resume; lorie est une chanteuse pour petites filles, ou ados au pire,
sa voix est loin d'etre extraordinnaire, elle est tres immature pour son age 22 ans
les paroles de ses chansons sont vraiment simpletes

Oh please don't talk to me about Lorie pleaaaaaase! I can't stand it >_<
She's a singer for pre-teen girls! (there's one of her song called "Week-end", it's like "Yeah! This is the Week end, we're gonna play 'til next week yeah!!!" O_o )

I'm French but i don't listen so much to French music.

The only artist i like (it's not pop) are Corneille and Mylène Farmer (now THAT is good music )

I agree I 100%. But still there are some good french artist... But how did it happened that I can't remember anyone:> Well, I like Celine Dion, but only her old french albums, for now she makes too much pop. And I also like Garou, well one song of his that goes like that "On dirait qu'elle sort des jupes de sa maman, on croirait qu'elle n'as jamais d'amant..." or something like that. I don't remember exactly. But I think It's a good song...

It might mean "Here we go", or "Let's go".

Some artists i can recommend:

Calogero
Corneille
Garou
Jenifer (you might like her, her songs are entertaining )
Pascal Obispo (great artist!)
Chimène Badi (ballads only)

There's also a lot of R&B/Rap artist, but i don't like that kind of music so i can't really recommedn something (Maybe Tragédie? It's hip hop/R&B :/ )

Well but i'm still amazed that some people here know French music
