I call that A-Nation part "Ivete Sangalo moment"

@Mai82Go and @Chibi-chan

I really think you girls are ignoring cultural factors over here... "Bitch" is not part of japanese or any other language Ayu has in mind while producing, keep in mind that her native english speaker or even non-native english speaker fandom are "accidents" and far from being the norm. The word doesn't hold the same cultural context over here. x_x

Unless you girls are bothered by the cursing and would be bothered by "fuck the haters" or something like that, if this is the problem I apologize in advanced.

It seems that there won't be any live broadcasts of A-nation this time...Last year we had Ameba Pigg live stream and Fuji TV Next live broadcast.
So I guess we won't hear unedited vocals.

That was so much fun, watching the whole show - too bad it won't happen this year. ;_;

The problem I have is that Ayu or Japanese people in general often ignore cultural factors. I don't think it's appropriate to take words or phrases or even (military) symbols from other languages and their respective countries just to be "cool". Japanese indie bands seem to love to use German words and Nazi symbols also just because of the coolness factor. And even bigger popstars like Nana Mizuki make whole Nazi PVs. Considering the commited cruelties it's 120% inappropriate to do this.
I admit that using the word "bitch" is on a whole other level and way more harmless but in the end they still using an insult to seem cool and are ignoring what it actual means.

So, that's just what I think, you guys don't have to agree in the end.

They don't need to take cultural factors, as those factors are not relevant to their market share. And what nazi symbols are jpop singers using? I don't remember seeing something like that.

^Nana Mizuki - Mysterion

The symbolism she is using is unmistakable. It's like she is Hitler or Goebbels in this PV and I really can't see any "meaning" or "message" behind this.

There are a lot more examples, but Nana is the most prominet I can remember.

I assume Chibi-Chan referred to this :

Spoiler:

Personnally I never really paid attention to these cultural differences !

BTW if I remember well there was a drama with Kishidan & nazi symbols

But all these things are quite off topic

It's an interesting topic, but it has deviated a little bit from discussing Ayu's tour goods. Feel free to make a thread about the cultural differences in celebrity styles though.

The most famous nazi symbol is used on the temples in Japan...so it has a totally different meaning there.

I personally don't mind the cap and think that it's time Ayu shows some attitude as she can't be neutral her whole life when it comes to everything.

Its not actually the nazi symbol, it just looks like it. That symbol was used way before the Nazi's started using it. Here's a website explaining the difference if anyone is interested in taking a look:

http://www.japanese-buddhism.com/swastika.html

Back on topic: I can't wait to see the setlist! But I'm kind of sad that there's no straps this year.
