It's so funny because i was expect Jolin to be compared with Ayu only. But they compared Jolin with so many others. LOL. Jolin is a true copy cat.

you guys are all so blind. stop bashing jolin. she has talent in herself too, not just ayu. i love both so much, and i believe both are their own person with their own talents and unique styles.
how many times this pops up with people bashing is ridiculous.

See, I'm one of the people who do think that Jolin "copies" (whether it's copying, strongly influenced, or flat out coincidence, I can't say for sure because it seems like it may be different cases a few times), but on the other hand...it's probably not her fault, right? I mean, it's rare for musicians to have the main say in things like costumes and PVs. Just because Ayu has her say, along with a few other really big artists, doesn't mean everybody gets this privilege. I don't think Jolin Tsai has made it that far yet, to be able to make those decisions, so I don't really have a problem with her for the "copying." I'm more bothered by her singing, lol.
(No offense to the fans here. I just don't like her singing, hah.)

Bashing another artist to make your own look better over every little thing isn't necessary. It really isn't. It just screams insecurity of some sort to me.

I first heard of Jolin Tsai on Channel [V] and I can say that she's a pretty good artist herself. I liked her for what she does and I'm not all that bothered if she did copy the style, fashion, moves etc., of other talented artists out there. Perhaps there were many similarities with her works and that of other singers because she did looked up to them or was inspired in some way. People are like that sometimes.
Oh well, I just don't want to see her looking exactly like Ayu or any other artist for that matter. She has creativity and can be original in her own way. I hope she discovers that. Let's give her time too and disregard bashing.
