Sakura Nagashi was great but only 1 song in 4 years is atrocious.

Well, she's been on hiatus for all of those four years...moving around Europe, dating, getting married. I wasn't expecting her to release anything at all, although I didn't expect it to last over 2-3 years either.

I'm not doubting that we'll get something new eventually, but I've stopped expecting it for any time soon. A tribute album sounds interesting though, looking forward to what artists will contribute.

Tribute albums usually leave a lot to be desired as far as star power goes. At worst it'll be mostly low rent and washed out R&B singers.

^Not only that, but they're going to do the popular songs that have been covered a hundred times already. Songs that I've heard a million times already and am sick of. There's a 99% chance the album is going to include Automatic, Hikari, Wait and See, Movin' on without you, First Love, and Addicted to You. I have a feeling that most of the songs are going to be from her first two albums.

we can expect ayakas moving on without you and miliyahs automatic on this i think

moreover we can assume that there will be a live or even a studio version of shiina ringos traveling cover...
I also do think that JUJU will get the spotlight with her First love...


The tribute album is a decicion of Utadas manager, hower, she handpicked the songs (or at least was involved) and said something like---that she leave the interpretation of the songs to singer-songwriters...

I'm pretty sure we will get mostly high-class artist (similiar to YUIs album), or at least well known ones....

She did -live- a billion years ago XD

But anyway why would a Taiwanese singer be on a Japanese compilation about a Japanese artist? And why would there be 2 covers of the same song in the same album? This fake is ridiculous lol

I can't wait to know who will cover Hikki and which songs will be covered though.

Do we know if this is going to be old or new songs? Cause if it's just a collections of songs already done I'm not going to bother buying the album. It would be cool though if they gathered famous artists to perform new renditions of her songs for this album.

This is pretty awesome. For once, a cover that isn't a ballad.
