Still think that Blackout is her best album.

Long story short: she has vocals, she still has emotion in it, she should use them more than just 3-4 songs since her breakdown ended. That's my main point here. I thought she f-ed up her voice with all that stress and habit and god knows what else and is now only selling because that shit is popular these days and because she has a name made for herself throught all those golden years. BUT i kept silently hoping she will come back with something that has a feeling because i still didn't wanna believe it. AND SHE DID. SO. YEAH. I personally lost interest in her musical activities after In The Zone. It was the last album i enjoyed and, well , then my music habits turned to rock genre. HOWEVER, i still looked/look after her hoping she's/'ll get back on her feet, and she did! Even if i absolutelly couldn't stand anything she's done since then, i was very glad she got her life together and was doing good in the bussiness again. I grew up listening to her so even to this day i still feel sort of connected lol And i still do check on her. And i have to say these couple of songs just asured me that she's still THAT Britney, it's just that her talent gets pushed away by popularity standarts and what sells. I am in fact very happy she is doing good in all ways.

^Again, you are acting like your personal taste in music is an objective information. It isn't.
And she isn't following "popularity standarts" as much as she is following an aesthetic she herself made popular, considering Blackout is the blueprint for much of was made in pop-music from 2009 to 2013 (Rolling Stone goes as far as considering it the most influential pop album of the last years). I also disagree that filtering your voice (as not everything is autotune) doesn't mean taking the emotion out of it... As you can check on sad-robot-song It Should Be Easy. edit: About her albums... IMO very few popstars out there can put out one album on the same level of quality of In The Zone, Blackout and Femme Fatale. Her music is really underrated Last edited by Andrenekoi; 11th January 2014 at 06:23 AM. |

You are actually writting n the same manner that i do, but i am not going at you with stupid assumptions that you're better than everyone who thinks differently, am i? I am not. Truth is we both are right, if you hadn't realized yet. Also I never said that it's about filtering her voice that kills emotion, where did you find that? it's THE WAY SHE SINGS...*facepalm* See you're not even understanding/reading me clearly...
ALso i think from now on i'm starting every less popular opinion statement of mine with "IN MY OPINION WHICH IS NOT A FACT" from now on....it's starting to get a bit paranoid around here..Can't people just say what they think and go "I see. I got it. However, i'm still gonna stick to my thoughts". That probably wouldn't happen anyway.

Oh please, cut off the drama... If you don't want people disagreeing with you move to some forest without people. On the same way you are entitled your opinions people are entitled opinions about it.

I really don't like that Work Bitch performance :~ The first half with that globe is so... zzzz~ and then she dances with such less energy compared to her dancers, seriously I couldn't watch it till the end
![]() The show does have better moments like Me Against The Music and Slave 4 U, but I really hope she will improve her dancing skills and also lose that fatty tummy >>"...

Since when the Hell was Britney known for her emotion? She has one hit which portrays emotion: Everytime. Britney was never known for that kind of thing since day 1. She made sinfully catchy, fun, POP music, and she still does as such. Femme Fetale was effing phenomenal because the production was top-notch. They really explored the layering and processing effects of her vocals there NOT to disguise her (in)ability to sing, but for the greater good of the final product. Just because a song uses processing doesn't make it a a bad song. The beauty of producing electronically is that you can CREATE sound, which is what music is all about.

I don't. I think she deserves these numbers for putting up such an album consisted of demo quality songs. She could have done so much better. For me the sales are nothing but reflecting the quality of her work, she didn't even care to promote this album in a decent way. It is time for her to work with people that's not will.i.am or David Guetta, they're pretty much the problem revolving "Britney Jean". will.i.am did a great job on "Femme Fatale", now it's time to go. She should work with the people who produced her best albums so far in my opinion, "In The Zone" and "Blackout".
Worldwide numbers are around 500k. She will need really strong singles to reach 1M.

^ I'm glad I'm not the only one because I literally could NOT think anything other than "they're trying to tank Britney aren't they" when Work Bitch and Perfume came out. Honestly, if they WEREN'T trying to tank her then I don't know what they were thinking because that album sounded like one big demo from beginning to end. After the extremely top notch production of Femme Fatale, Britney Jean was just... jarring.

I finally got around to really listening to the songs on Britney Jean and I have to say, I felt it was a huge step backwards. The album anything but exciting. Its a chore to download. I just don't want to be bothered.

If she works with the people who produced her best works (what I agree are Blackout and In the zone, but I add Femme Fatale on the list too), people will say she is repeating herself.
And I really like Britney Jean, it's not her best work, but it's really nice and easy to listen and covers pretty much every aesthetic she went for on her career... That would be the album I would use to introduce someone to her. A TV performance would be nice, but the Vegas contract forbides her from performing anywhere else for the duration of the residence.
