I finally listened to the album, and just ew. Her worst album by far. So bland I almost cried. Abracadabra was the best song by far and even it could have been better.

I thought the album was quite good, it had a good vibe.
The singles for this album were really good, Tough Girl and Abracadabra didn't really fit in though.

the album is actually quite okay and better than LOVE PLACE.
The problem is, that she did the same thing for the fifth time but everything on it has been done better by herself already. Altough Darling is still another remarkable song in her dico

I loved LOVE PLACE!

is this love? is fun. Day 7 is uplifting. SAKURA, I love you? is refreshing. FANTASY is better than Abracadabra. Honey is cute. kiss & hug is enjoyable at times (but never something I ever play deliberately). Happy Half Year is a fucking joy to listen and sing to. Even GO FOR IT! grew on me with time.

Not a fan of watashitachi, Be Strong, Love song, My Place, or even tatoe donna ni... But the songs I do love are enough to make the album a solid A.

I think most of us are just burnt out with Kana at the moment lol although she always does release an incredible ballad every era so I'm sticking around for that. Tatoe Donna ni... is still one of the best J-Pop songs ever tbh

I agree, it's a fantastic song, the entire single was very good.

I don't know if it was already mentioned but Darling hit double platinum (500,000) digitally at the beginning of the year.

Well, I think Kana honestly peaked at to LOVE. Thank you, LOVE, Love Place, and with LOVE all sound interchangeable. I honestly think Distance and if were great singles, but I think Esperanza was the start of a more boring trend. I'm not sure what she did differently starting there, but it just hasn't been amazing since then.

I think her singles were amazing until SAKURA, I Love you? That was the last single I really and truly loved from her. After that all singles has been either hit or miss (mostly a miss). I also think Thank you, Love was her last good album. I really love it and to LOVE. Love Place was listenable (Be Strong is amazing as is Tatoe donna ni and SAKURA, I Love you?) but with LOVE was forgettable. I listened to it once and then forgot it existed.

But overall I still think she is awesome. It just looks like I have lost the mood for her songs. I hope it comes back soon tho. I miss those days when I did nothing but listened to queen Kana❤️

i felt dissapointed with "with LOVE"... Love Place turned out to be my favorite album from her and then she released her worst work (imo). Kana, figure out your life choices lol

I'm looking forward to finally buying my second Kana album but with Kumi's and Ayumi's new ones, I prob won't get round to buying a Kana CD until April pay day.

I just never warmed up with LOVE PLACE - it has some really nice standout tracks but i was already disppointed with Thank you, Love in away. Some asked what she did dofferent after Esperanza, but I think the problem is that she didn't do anything different. I actually can't see her doing a different style of sound either, but just going on with her signiture sounds bores me. At least i stick around for the singles and the two awsome upbeat tracks on every album.

completely agree. she's been doing the same thing, with only very slight variations, for too long now. its a signature sound for her, for sure. but that doesnt make it interesting to her followers every time.
i pretty much lost interest with Thank you, love. Love Place only partially sparked it back (i still dig Sakura, I love you?), and i found with love difficult to get through. After several listenings, it just is completely unmemorable to me.
It was really rather disappointing to find that i just didn't care about it at all. It's strange, i like her typical output, but im bored with it at the same time. I'm not sure how to be happy with her as an artist lately.
Oh well...i'm still keeping tabs on her in the hopes that she'll do something more enticing soon, but i have no idea what that would be...

Her best b-sides are better than her best a-sides.

^same problem here... I like her songs but I'm also bored with them. With every new PV I'm like "Oh, nice sound" and thats about it....I don't even bother to download singles anymore (well, I kinda force myself with any artist in this matter) - but I don't even care if I have the song or not. TBQH, after I listen to a new song by her I go back to listen to to LOVE most of the time lol.

Like I said, you guys are just burnt out. Kana releases quality music, but it's always the same sound. Pretty much the Kana fans on these forums stick around for her B-sides because the B-sides always end up being better (and God knows Kana has a thousand B-sides already lol).

I actually always enjoyed her a-sides until "Distance", after that most of them started to sound the same for me.
I can't remember of many memorable b-sides, except for "celtic" and "ONE WAY LOVE".
